..I've felt like I changed because I have a different outlook on life as well. Let me explain.
Recently, I've managed to contact an old friend. This friend of mine, named "Wade", was my best friend in 7th and 8th grade (I'm in college now, 2nd year). I used to go to Wade's house at 5 AM every day in the morning, hang out, play video games, eat breakfast every day before we both went to school. And of course, my parents didn't know about this.
When I moved, I promised to call him and see how he is doing. After I moved, I still contacted him by phone, but eventually, after 2 years or more.. I eventually stopped calling because we didn't have much to talk about through just the telephone. Also, I forgot his telephone number because I wrote it on small sticky-note, and eventually lost it.
Just last week, I managed to find his MySpace by looking through my old schools, he's now 19 years old, I believe he's a month younger than me by birthdate. I realized how he's changed (in a good way), he now is in the military, has a wife (I guess? They're engaged..), and they have a baby.
His kid's name is "Kade" (lol). He seems a lot more mature than back then, and his parents seems to be very supportive. I recently started talking to him, and deep inside, he's still the same 14 year old kid I knew back then.. haha.
Also, I've recently started talking to my 'Network Security' professor about transferring my work over to upper Canada (Quebec). Seeing as how my gf lives up there. He told me that it's really not hard, and all I need is a Passport. I looked up some things, and some of my friends also said that I need something called a Work Visa? I heard it's a work permit to work in another country. Supposedly, from the USA to Canada, transferring work isn't hard (Can someone confirm this?).
I plan to get my CISCO Certifcation after this year, as well as my Associate's Degree. Both of these will hopefully help me in Canada. I heard that transferring college-credits alone is bad, but with a degree and certification, they'll still most likely choose me as an employer? I am majoring in Computer Network Administration if you wanted to know.
Also, while driving at 7:00 PM at night, I looked up at the sky and realized how much I've changed since after High School. Back then, all I cared about was to only get 'average' grades, playing video games, and having fun. Now, I see that there's much more to life. There's people that I care about, there's people that cares about me, and friends are truly forever. Even for teachers, there are some that I love to have a conversation with just because I am comfortable having a discussion with them (this does not apply to really really really old ladies that teaches Math).
Overall, don't mind my rambling, I am going to expect a tl;dr though. I just thought it was interesting to post what I am recently thinking on the top of my head right now. Also, if you could answer some of my questions in this topic, I'd be thankful, very.
