O come, all ye Maplers,
Jubilant and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Lu-dib-rium.
Come, bring your equips,
Come and join our PQ!
O come, let us enchant you,
O come and bring your pets too!
O come let us train in Ma-a-ple World!
Sing, choirs of mushrooms,
Sing the fall of Black Mage;
Sing, all ye Maplers,
Of a gentler leveling curve.
Come, you Explorers!
Cygnus Knights, Resistance too!
O come, let us enchant you,
May your holiday dreams all come true!
O come and spend the holidays in Ma-a-ple World!

Yeah.. This.

Yeah, but when the past is better than the present it is obvious to look at it mournfully. Improving the present? Yeah, let's start from not worsening it. Like with this year's absence of Happyville.

Indeed.

I don't understand the need for Happyville, sure it's a tradition (i suppose?) but i always found it boring and pointless

Happyville just gave a great and warm xmas feeling when you went there. Plus it was fun, and you could decorate your trees there.
And yeah, it reminded me of great past events, such as the Maplemas vs Versalmas ones.

Happyville gives that warm fuzzy feeling of Christmas in Maple. Plus some of the past events were actually fun. They weren't too repetitive and offered something out of the ordinary Maple life.
This year's just a carbon copy of recent events. (ie: Christmas Pot = Maple Tree pot, Collecting 100 buttons = every other quest in game, hunting Rudolph = Fat Turkeys)
lol @ Nexon taunting us with Happyville sprites.

When I first joined this game we like to call MapleStory, it was Christmas event of 2005. Never forget grinding on my 2x Pre-Ice Lightning mage for Rascal Snowpieces to get that silly chair.
And of course, to reminisce [SP?] on the old events. I want that odd purple Versalmas hat or whatever they gave us back then. I still have the music of Happyville in my brain.

Maybe when we could fight a big ass snowman and trade in Christmas presents there, but now its only purpose is for those Christmas transformation potions (I find them pointless).
