Subtle changes added to legend patch?

Demalkren Wrote:This... just made my day. Thank you for sharing this. that's going to be a huge help for a lot of people, but even if there's no ore shop We can still just buy ores in fm and farm them I guess right? :f6:

You need an insane amount of them. Farming and FM take time. It'd help... but no where close to if NPCs sold them. I mean... you might be able to find people selling a couple stacks of 100s which would take weeks to farm through legit means, but you need hundreds and hundreds of stacks.

I see, well my hopes out to having the ore shop then.

profession system nerf doesn't really matter, really, who gives if we can't buy the ores, there's thousands out that farm them already, and the whole "getting to 10" business can be done in 2 days with less than 10M.

i just want more coins, MOARR

I want more coins same as you. But i also want to buy them ores. How else can i make my 6% str belt with I cant buy the ores and getting the 5~8 ores are hard as well. (not gonna farm anyway.) plus i saved 200mil for this update and i want to spend it.

Edit: In case you're wondering why, the traits you get from leveling up professions doesn't count towards the 500 daily cap. So leveling professions from 1 to 10 then reset and repeat will get you to lv100 diligence, will power and empathy in a relatively short time (compared to 6 month+ otherwise). Currently the only limiting factor is not having enough ore/herb to do this.

Heh, this was my brother's secret method all along, he's been doing this. He says you can't get past level 5 on either mining or herbalism per day without outside intervention though.

Empathy = Herbalism
Willpower = Mining (This is annoying because Insight is at least 30 - 50% more difficult to level than Willpower)
Diligence = The other secondary professions

I know what im doing on my paladin if they decide to make herbs/ores sellable for the same price as in kms.

True, but insight is nearly useless. It's only redeeming quality is that it lets people reveal potential without magnifying glasses, which really isn't all that big a deal in my opinion.

in JMS, the legend weapons with potential on them are STATLESS! I love me sum level 110 bowguns with no stat requirements!

In gms they require no secondary stat

Seems like a huge grind, unless they removed the ~10 seconds per ore animation time.

edit: as in reaching level 10 38 times, making ~87400 jewels/plates/powders in the process. 874 slots if you kept them. 10 days of doing nothing but forging 24-hours a day, consuming 300 of those Super Moos each day.

The animation time is 5 second, not 10. In any case this is much much faster than the 6 months you'd need if you only get 500exp a day.

Edit: I tried describing it but I think coming from my source might be better.

I'm curious to know what numbers you're using and how you came upon them, using your number of Level 10's (38) you would have accumulated 97090 Willpower, that is 3494 more than you'd need from Level 0 Willpower to 100. You'd only need 36 and a Level 9 if you started from scratch with 0. If KMS and GMST is any indication, a Level 10 would only take 582 plate/jewel/powder syntheses, times 37 for simplicity and that's 21534 products created from 0 to 100 Willpower. This doesn't include the 5XX that can be achieved from the daily Willpower grind.

I'm sure we're not working with the assumption of 0 Willpower, but if it's any indication, I'm 15 - 19 days away from maxed Willpower under our current system and my easy mining regiment (not to level 10). If this new system comes out with market available ores I could finish on that day or whenever I pleased without great impact on the wallet or time schedule.

Source Edit: I didn't even throw in maths for Double EXP from Diligence or otherwise.

Willpower from Mining, Dilligence from Smithing & Crafting right? Empathy from herbalism, wait isnt alchemy more dilligence...?

Insight from Mining and Empathy from collecting herbs.
Diligence from smelting ores, extracting herb oils, and crafting (of all professions).
Willpower from mining level-up only.
(Daily willpower is easy to max with PQs, the mining level-up willpower bonus is in addition to that daily limit.)
