Hello everyone!

Hello everyone! Obviously you can tell my forum name is ElderTree since you have eyes. Some people also call me Brian.

I have played (nearly continuously) since Beta, only taking about a 2 year break somewhere in the middle. However, my wife IRL was recently hacked on MS last week (never gave info out, didn't visit suspicious sites, only ever logged on through the CLIENT on her own comp that was free of malware/keyloggers/viruses, hadn't touched MTS in over a year, never linked with MSA, blah blah blah). Since then, I have basically locked down all of my accounts (the best I can do) and am waiting till this whole hacking thing subsides / gets fixed.

That being said, I haven't played Maple much lately, and I was starting to look at Minecraft. I figured it would be pretty fun to try it out on Zelkova's server since he's got a nice whitelist going (so I don't have to worry about Griefers).

I would also like to take this time to thank Paul for all of his excellent work on extractions over the years as they have helped me enormously! After lurking for years, it feels good to join the land of Chin and Pineapple!

Haha, thanks guys! I'm not a minecraft junkie... yet, but I hope to be! I've spent the past few days watching the first half of that "Thrive & Survive" video tutorial series on YouTube, so bear with me for any noob questions I may ask. Smile

Welcome to SP! I just started Minecraft again yesterday and I'm impressed by how much it's changed since when I tried it earlier this year. I'm playing it on the hard survival mode, but after the first night, the game is relatively easy once I've built a little house. Now I just have to figure out what to do with my time in the game!

I'm sorry to hear your wife's account got hacked, is she going to start over or quit?

Of course. How could I forget the opossums?! Biggrin

Yeah, I agree that Minecraft is pretty easy after the first night. I found a village really close to where I spawned, so I just squatted in one of the NPC houses for a few nights until I was ready to build a decent sized house.

As for my wife, she's continued to play her corsair, even getting a few more levels (up to 166 I think). Only her corsair was raided (lost her evolving rings, WG, and a small - medium sized chair collection worth a couple bil). We're just glad at this point that we've never cubed much (~10 cubes or less total between the two of us).
