Saya no Uta. It's only 5 hours long, you now have no excuse to not read it. Do it now. Seriously, though- it's a damn good read.

Also, Clannad is REALLY, REALLY long. You better have a lot of time and patience for it.

But if you're also willing to read something very long, Ever17 should definitely be on your to read list.

Oh- and one last, because it's for if you're willing to actually buy something. 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors is a VN with puzzle gameplay segments written by the author of Ever17. It's pretty much Ever17 Lite according to some, it's a game that's been praised by lots of western game review sites, and it's been localized. If you really want to support the visual novel industry and see more games and visual novels like this, you should really buy this game.

They've uh, kinda faded away. And by that I mean it'd be a waste of time to bother the thread-creators to bump them so I can post in them.

Currently playing through Umineko Tsubasa and Fate/stay night (UBW route) myself. Sometime after that is Ever17, 999, and Higurashi. And uh, Kanon, which I've been trying to get myself to play for like a year but still haven't gotten around to.

Saw 999 advertisement at last year's AX, looked really interesting. Clannad I might finish later, since i already know what's going to happen.

Finished up swan song and yume miru kusuri. YMK was really sad and definitely my new favorite right now.

wanko's main ending made me feel bad about myself. Actually, almost all of the endings did.

If you don't mind a long one, then I recommend the Muv Luv trilogy. Extra is pretty much a generic high school setting romance. Unlimited and Alternate is where everything gets real. Especially in Alternative, mecha and politics everywhere.
