These were my plans:

What I want: a necomimi and maple chair (2700 crystals)

What I REALLY want: 2-3 necomimis and maple chair (3400-4100 crystals)

So what should I do? Does what mini dungeon I go to affect drops?

Also, I've currently got 26500 nx, to my knowledge, and I need to know what is absolutely essential to get me through the event. I don't want to waste any but I also don't want to miss my chance.

Well, some minidungeons have better spawns than others, so that may slightly affect your drops...

Because necomimi's are tradeable, do it on different characters [if you have sub characters that are decent enough]. That way you can ensure yourself the maple chair on your main.

Ant tunnel is especially good with a bishop/arch mage with an ultimate or a priest/cleric with heal.

Also, is this taking into account my limited funding? cause i'm pretty sure I probably can't share 2x drop cards with other characters on my account, and I may not even be able to afford buying extra tries either. I've got no idea what to do there and it's probably hopeless to think that I'd be able to get even the least that I want to go for.

Pets with Item Bags would be helpful, but you could also just pick the crystals up yourself and save some NX. I'm fairly certain, if given the same time to collect crystals as last time, that you could at least be able to get the chair, if not a necomimi also.

That. You don't actually need a pet. At most, you might be able to get an extra 3-6 a day. That would be very minimal just to buy a pet and equip.

If you have one already, feel free to use it.

Sure you can transfer 2x drop or EXP cards to your other characters. Go into the Cash Shop and double-click them in your inventory, and they will go back into storage. Then you log in with your other character and take them out again.

I enjoyed having my pet because it made looting easier most of the time. I'd recommend doing the Aqua Road quest (Kenta's Research, takes about 10 seconds if you've completed it before, maybe 20 minutes the first time) so your pet keeps up with you better.

I can't tell what class of character(s) you have, Cheez, but my strategy with my I/L was, right when I entered, drop to the ledge below me and Ice Strike the mushrooms, then drop down to each level and kill everything close to me. Don't waste time chasing 1 or 2 mushrooms that are out of range, just zap and move down. If a crystal drops and it's behind you, leave it for the next pass; get the ones that are easiest to pick up and move on, because they won't evaporate for a couple of minutes. When you get to the bottom, go back up both ropes but don't bother with the horny mushies at the top, because they don't drop crystals nearly as often as the zombie mushrooms. I only did them on the very first pass, or if the spawn below them seemed to be slowing down.

I never used more than 10% of my mana, but then I was 8x at the time so mana recovery was pretty fast.

Edit: Oh yes, and I did not use 2x drop but I did buy the extra tickets. I averaged 165 crystals per day, and I started a few days late, but on the last day I had enough to get the Moon & Star chair.

well, I couldn't respond any sooner due to CERTAIN things... but anyway, as an update...

I'm doing pretty well, actually. Around 40-50 crystals per ticket, only lost 2 tickets/tries to sudden lagouts at the exact same time as i tried to enter the dungeon, costing me a try and one time also costing me a ticket.

So far, my sin has managed to grab over 700 in the past 3 days, while my cleric, although better suited to the job, takes a lot of hits and wastes time. I think there's hope after all.

Very priceless advice. The pet has saved me many, many precious seconds, though I had to be standing still and attacking, having it chase items for it to be of most use.
