AX 2011

Luckily I checked and maon kurosaki was doing open autographs, and people with raffle tickets got priority. I got HOTD soundtrack + the index CD in your picture above signed by her. Only problem is I have to find a place that sells DVD type cases (disc cases that hold 2 CDs) since I dropped my camera on the index cd and cracked the case. Thank god the CD didn't get damaged since that's what she signed for me.

I bought a ton of pomegranate, I'll probably just post some of it tomorrow.

They were selling her merchandise right next to her. He was probably on standby line, so the stuff might have sold out before he got there. I figured she wouldn't stay too long because she was losing her voice and we weren't allowed to have too much conversation with her. We just said hi and thank you and stuff, and i got to shake her hand ^.^

Looking back on my recollection of AX, I don't feel like I did too much.

Day 0:
I got into LA at about 5:30, so went to IHOP. Hopped in line with my girlfriend and friends at about 8 or so and camped out. We walked around with a couple people holding the spot in line and whatnot. Got my badge at about 3:15 PM.

Day 1:
Auditioned in AX Idol (and didn't make it obviously). Missed watching my friend's band (Midnight Shinigami) in Battle of the Bands since they scheduled it to coincide with AX Idol -_- But Midnight won though. Hung out in the Karaoke room while my band's singer participated. She got 4th so free stuff for her.

Day 2:
We decided to not go to AX this day and went to Disneyland instead. WOOOO

Day 3:
Went to Little Tokyo, headed back to the con for Acoustic Karaoke. Won best group performance and got free stuff. Also performed a couple songs at the acoustic open mic after the contest. Went to check out the dealer's room. Got my abs autographed by Takahata101.

Day 4:
Went back to the dealer's room again after checking out of our hotel for some sales and whatnot, then headed home. :O

Was hoping to have pics to post, but I was gonna size them and stuff on my bigger laptop, but its looking like i will have to reinstall the OS on it now X_X which sucks even more since I can use the dam thing only with an external monitor.



Day 2: Got in line for my badge at around 9:30 AM and was in and walking around by 10:10, which my friend was jealous about cause he waited for a good 2 hours on day 1. We mostly walked around and took photos of all the cosplay, and boy, were there some good ones (pics when I can). We went to the Arakawa Under The Bridge showing, which had a guest. The guest was the voice of Maria from the show, which I learned also sings the opening song (<<<Love the opening songs if ya didnt catch it in the Currently airing thread). She read a line from the show and then they started the showing and I sadfaced, cause I was hoping they would dub the show, which woulda been interesting to see/hear if done right. After the first episode aired, we went and did more photo taking and then left.

Day 3: We got in at about 10:00 and headed right for the El Shaddai station, since it was always packed when we passed by it the day before. The game was interesting, and should be more so as full game. After a leisurely through Artist alley, we ran into an old friend of mine and then went off to the manga lounge for a lil while. From there we did some digging for any deals we could find that we wanted to partake in and then we left with a lot more photos taken.


I really only bought 1 thing, and that was Baccano! on DVD for 30 bucks, which I also got a neat Spice and Wolf coin with the purchase. I was tempted to buy a lot of things in artist alley, theres really a lot of nice art there, but I always weighed the usefulness of what I was going to buy. I would have jumped at Arakawa if they were indeed dubbing it but $60 bucks for a show I already have downloaded in subs was really pricey. Overall, I had fun, and Im definitely going to buy a 4 day pass when they send the email for really cheap passes. Next year Ill look into more what kind of panels they will be having. Im hoping for something with PSG next year

You can already buy passes for next year. I think the price is more or less the same until january. Or it's like $40 until end of july, then $45 until january. They did something like that for this 2011 one.

Anyone besides me go to the 18+ panels? They're usually some of the most entertaining because the hosts are pretty cool. Mostly talking about the fakku panels.

Hmmm, once I get paid this week, ill have to order my pass.

As for the 18+ panels, I was interested in them, but I was more or less at the whims of my friend, since he drove. Mean or not, I plan to go more solo next year, since it will let me do more things.

I'm not 18 yet so no -.- xD

Yesterday they said passes $55 and premier $119, but people were raging since last year it was $45. So today they announced that until july 31st, 4 days will be $45 and premiers $99.
