What happened to the ores?

Since the Profession/Crafting system is going to replace Maker, I was trying to get some last-minute item making done. I needed some mithril ores, but I've been hunting everywhere and have seen no mineral ores of any kind dropping. Is it just bad luck, have droprates gone down, or are they just plain gone? :f6:

They don't drop from monsters anymore. It's preparation for Chaos (pretty stupid IMO).

In preparation for chaos, they took out ores and powders 3-4 months before the thing comes out -___- You can buy them in overpriced shops in the FM i suppose.

There are stat crystals though, so that's at least a good thing (?)

I don't know if it's the same in GMS, but in JMS Powders still drop, and apparently you can craft ores through Powders from some NPC or something like that. I'm not exactly sure on the details, I haven't really checked it out, but I hear you can make Ores. Maybe try talking to some of the crafting NPCs?

We don't have the crafting system yet.

You can still get some ores from various quests.

There are mineral deposits scattered around the world after Chaos. Players simply attack them to mine for the ores that they give. Additionally there are plants that give oils that can be used in potions as well.
