Nexon Game Manager
#1
Today I logged onto maplestory through the website, and hit Start Game. It redirects me to a page (nxcache.nexon.net) saying I need to install the Nexon Game Manager. What is this? I know it's from the official site, but my virus protection popped up and gave me a warning about the file it wanted me to download. Something seems fishy, what's going on?

Heres picture of warning:

*edit* I ran MS from the launcher instead and it worked fine. Still something is wrong here, anyone else ever get this problem?

I wish Nexon incorporates that new account protection software where it's virtually impossible to get your account hacked EVEN if the hackers have your user name and password.

It, "Resident Shield", is a virus, I had it and it relentlessly gave me those popups. The only thing that seems odd is in my experience these things have file names such as "Trojan.Downloader.exe" or some stupid stuff like that. If you have AVG run its official scan see if the same file shows up. If you cannot access AVG anti-virus (Try other Anti-virus websites too) and if they do not work you definitely have a virus.

I selected the option "Go to File" and proceeded to fix the corrupted files. After that I ran another scan and it came back with no viruses on my system. I never have had a problem with AVG before and also never had a virus before, so this is all very confusing.
