How does mirror target work / worth it? (dual blader)

I am confused at how the skill works, will monsters say with long range still hit u if the mirror target is up? Or do u have to attack them first like bowmans puppet? Basically will you ever get hit with mirror target?

And lastly, I heard rumors that ppl can cast mirror image right after target for both skills to work, is that true?

Yeah i can cast Mirror image right after target and they both work. not sure though about ur first question since mine is only Lv 1 atm so its hard to test it.

target works the same as an archer's puppet. aggro'd monsters are aggro'd toward the mirror instead of you, but if the following happens:

Mirror __________________you______________ Monster's lazors

then you WILL be hit if the lazorz can reach your mirror. If the next happens:

You________mirror_________Lazorz

then you will only be hit if the range of the monster's attack extends beyond your mirror (i.e. you are in range of the attack yourself).

Otherwise, if you are out of range it will not reaggro you until mirror dies or some dipstick insists on killing your monster.
