Cash Shop Item Expiration Date

Does gifted Cash Shop item expire three months after gifting or three months after the gifted character retrieves the item from the Cash Shop?

I'm planning to gift some Pam's songs to a mule for future use so I need a confirmation to be sure.

once you enter CS the timer starts, whether you take it out or not

Make a simple test. Gift yourself a Cheap item and wait for a day or two before claiming it. If the Item have the date of when you send it then count start around there. If the date its from the day you enter the CS then Count start when you enter the CS.
