Android Phone help.

Forgot about the wifi. That should cover you for the most part. I dont know, a lot of the stuff I love about it is the stuff that constantly streams in but versus the cost of getting the internet plan you probably won't miss it that much. So forget I said anything =D

At this point I think you should head on over to a tmobile store and possibly a best buy (nexus s was an exclusive to best buy, not sure if that's still the case anymore) and go hands-on with them. That more than anything can probably tell you if you want to throw down an extra hundred bucks.

And pretty sure in order to get the rebate on the nexus s you'll have to sign up for an internet plan. Every smartphone on the tmo website has a little blurb underneath it saying "this is a premium phone and requires a data plan." THe nexus s is not on there (refer to speculation about it being best buy exclusive above) but I would assume they are going to tell you you need the internet plan at least to start out like the g2.

There was a little button saying get it at best buy, so I'm assuming it's still an exclusive or being pushed really hard for bb at least.

I then clicked on that button and was directed to a page to buy it where I see this in the semi-fine print
"Requires a minimum $10/month Web access fee with all Even More voice plans."

Bottom line: I'd get the Nexus S if I could afford it, but if I can't (by the time I HAVE TO do the purchase), I won't be upset with the G2.

I could divide up the 2-year $120 into $60 for the first and another $60 for the later, $260 is about all I have, so it's possible, $320 is not. Though I have no sources of income as of now, that doesn't mean it won't change after I know my class schedules for spring. This is still a gamble though.

EDIT: Yeah, they're all the same. I don't see how such a good customer-bait like the Nexus S could be excluded.

Would it be the same thing as one bought from T-Mobile, through either:
- signing a new contract; or
- paying the full price?

(question wants to refer to SIM unlocking and phone jailbreaking and whatnot, I haven't really done my research)
