Whoo~ More Shadower Build Questions!

Okay, so!

First off... I'm nearing the end of my third job build, since I'm 9 very long and stressful levels away from fourth job, but I'm unsure which way to go. I know it really doesn't matter and it's kind of irrelevant which I do, but what do you guys suggest I finish off my SP with? I'm 111 with every skill maxed except :

Dark Flare (1 point allocated currently)
Shield Mastery (0 points allocated currently)
Chakra (3 points allocated currently)

I was thinking of maxing Shield Mastery and leaving Dark Flare with the rest of the points. I've never really found Dark Flare useful. >_> The only time it's useful is at bossing, which really isn't that often, until LHC, of course. Would if affect my DPS if I decided not to max it? Would it be more wise to max it and have level 8 Shield Mastery? What do you guys recommend? Defense or more DPS?



Now... Since I don't remember if I asked about the fourth job build and since I can't find the old thread I made (not that I tried too hard...), how should it go down?

Of course, I was going to go :

Level 120 : +1 Boomerang Step, +1 Shadow Shifter... +1 more Boomerang? Other skill? I don't know... I'm confused here. +1 Venomous Stab, maybe? Keith said he didn't get this. I'm not even sure how useful it is.

120 ~ whenever : max Boomerang Step

After Boomerang Step is maxed : ??? What then? Meso Mastery? That was my first guess. I was even thinking about doing that when I get level 20 Boomerang Step, if I can't manage to get the level 30 book to pass.

Where do I go after that? Shadow Shifter? Assassinate? Is Assassinate worth getting, if using Enhanced Savage Blow + Boomerang Step + Meso Explosion deals a higher DPS?

Suggestions?

i maxed shield mastery over flare. With Shadower's avoid, you'll most likely do misses when soloing bosses anyway. BUT you could also just to 20 flare for party killing (though most people don't like summons during boss runs). I don't use it, i forget about summons often, so i didn't max it.

As for 4th job:

at 120 i did 1 venom, BS, and shifter. 1 venom is plenty enough for the entirety of your shadower career (it really does suck now). 1 shifter is already godly and BS for obvious reasons.

i proceeded to max BS with a funsies point in mesos mastery, and assassinate. after BS i went with mesos mastery and anm now doing Shadow shifter. IDK what the hell to do next. Taunt or assassinate maybe?

I'd leave Flare unmaxed.
Boomerang Step -> Meso Mastery is the best route.

Is Venomous Stab useful at all? I hear all this talk in some threads suggesting Venomous Stab works on bosses, but since when could you poison bosses? I don't remember this change from Big Bang, but I also never even cared enough to pay attention to much outside of my own class and the warrior branches, nor did I have a chance to try it in KMST.

1 Point in it is fine, venom doesn't stack anymore so maxing it isn't that great of a deal in my opinion.

How about Assassinate? How useful is it now? I don't really see much of a use for it, other than it being a "cool" toy to play around with every once in a while.

This thread shows what I'll be doing, since I personally don't find Assassinate being worthwhile for the points in it early on. Although I'm sure some people like Devil would counter-argue that it's a good skill to put your points into it.

Pretty sure venom works on bosses since BB.
I went with 1BStep/1shifter/1assassinate @ 120. Assassinate helps with some damage during Papu(charge when he hides).
I did 15 BStep > max meso mastery > finishing BStep now, cause I didn't feel like wasting 50m or so on BStep30. Next I'm probably working on shifter, then assassinate.

3rd job:
8 shield, 20 flare
19 flare has 100s cooldown and 20 flare has 60s cooldown and lasts 60 seconds. Dark flare works on 1/1 damage, reflects 13 times the damage taken, and works on the whole party (reflects 300k damage for each warrior everytime boss 1/1 anyone?)

4th job:
get 1sp in bstep, shifter, smoke
max priority: bstep -> shifter/meso -> mw/venom/taunt -> assassinate -> the rest

Venom works on bosses yes, but the damage is so terrible low, I really advise you not getting it... It's like Mechanic's 1st job Flamethrower skill (damage wise)...

It's a pure waste of 4th job SP's, especially at lvl1.

The damage at lvl1 is so low, you'll shame yourself for having it...

Just max Bstep / Meso Mastery / SShifter / MWarrior first!

And about 3rd job Dark Flare, the only reason you should get it, is for bossing -in party's-. It works with -all- party members. But if you don't use party's a lot and only do solo bossing, it's not useful. With 6 people in a party, it is.

Chakra and Shield Mastery are quite useful to have though!
