I'm kind of in shock here. I was playing on my mechanic when I hit a massive lag spike while training and got this message. At this point, I'm thinking, "Oh I've heard people getting this is common and I should be able to log in again."
However, I tried logging in again I received a message stating my account has been permanently blocked and that I will never be able to use it again which left me in complete awe. My account has extreme intrinsic value to me as I've had it since the beta years(I even still carry around my Mark of the Beta hat) and I have never, in all my years playing this game, used hacking programs or anything of the sort.
Will sending a ticket asking to restore my account work? I'm not really sure what else to do right now.

Yeah the only thing you can do right now is send a ticket and pray to god that nexon will look into it soon and lifts up your perm ban.
Seriously good luck man.. If this would happen to me i'd be so pissed. >_<

If and when you do hit a lag spike... common knowledge says stop what you are doing and just wait till it clears.
Each action you take during the lag creates a larger buffer of data that is send back to the server. The server is able to give some fault tolerance for what was an acceptable amount of lag data and what could be hacking.
Basically stated... if you hit a lag wave and start nuking everything around you and the lag suddenly clears... the game might think you've attempted to use a hack tool to kill a screen full of enemies at one single time over what would be normal.
Often you do have to pay attention when you fight even on basic monsters. If something is wrong, stop what you are doing and wait. Let the lag clear and most of time even if you do D/C, you can reconnect without any issues.

^Ah thank you for explaining what happened. I've always wondered why simply lagging would result in a possible d/c for the hack reason.
And thanks zerogravity, your words are encouraging =/ I really hope this ban gets reversed.
I'm tempted to send more tickets about this but I'm not sure if that's a wise choice. Should I or is one ticket enough?

a couple of friends and myself have been d/c'd because we were "speed hacking" on our mechs. we weren't perma banned though.

If you send more than one ticket nexon will just close them all and ignore you. What do you do to the nib in henesy that spams you with trade requests for no reason? That what nexon will do to you if you spam them with tickets.

The game/server do not permaban. Only an actual GM can permaban. Either a GM had to witness his lag and interpret it as some sort of hack, or his account was previously reported for hacking, reviewed by a GM and flagged for permaban after reviewing the evidence. No middle ground on that one. Nexon has repeatedly emphasized that they do not automate something as serious as a permanent ban.
