A1. Skill Builds as a Cleric

------------------------------------------------

[SIZE=2]Good, now that you know what skills there are as a Cleric, lets take a closer look at them.

First, there is Heal. No doubt about this one, its one of the main reasons people choose to become this class. Heal allows you to heal everyone in the entire party, including yourself, and even does damage to undead monsters! Highly instable damage that is... nevertheless this is THE skill you HAVE to get as a Cleric.
Second, we have Invincible, a great skill that reduces damage by percent. Will save your life alot later on. Again, no doubt about this one, you will have to take this if you want to get the most out of your Cleric.
Third, we have Bless. Now this is interesting. This skill is mostly liked by warriors and for only 1 out of the 4 stats it gives a bonus. Accuracy is of the utmost importance to Warriors as it will determine wether or not they can hit a monster. Even though this skill will not prove very usefull during 2nd job, you are definetly gonna need this later on. Even if you wont train with Warriors alot during 4th job, its still gonna prove it's use in Boss Battles such as Pianus, Papulatus, Zakum and HornTail. There isn't much of a choise because you basicly have to take this skill if you want to prove yourself usefull in these bosses later on.
Fourth, there is Mp Eater. A good skill that will make your Mp Potion Cost cut down to pretty much 0, if used in combination with Heal. Also sucks out the Mp of the monster, making some of them unable to attack you after a while... However, more information about this and some other skills later.
Fifth, there is Teleport. Gives most of it use allready at level 1, there are some extra things you need to know though. A higher level of this skill is needed for a certain stage in GuildPQ. Teleport also remains a great Mp drainer at lower levels, while maxed you can keep spamming this without using too much Mp. Great for traveling too, espescially when maxed because those last levels give you just that little extra range needed to reach those platforms you just couldn't reach before. At least 1 point in this for sure at an early level, we'll see if we max this later on.
Last, but definetly not least, or is it? This skill has been discussed ALOT and the discussion is still going on. What you need to know about this skill, is that it will never speed your training up. This skill is purely to give you some extra ability's and training spots. More training spots, but not better one's. The common build as of now, will ditch this skill! By not maxing this skill you have enough points left to max all of your other 2nd job skills and even have some left.

The skills I want to give some extra attention are these:
-Teleport
-Mp Eater
-Holy Arrow

As a Cleric you gain (3x40+1=) 121 Points to spend on your skills.
After Heal, Invincible and Bless you have (121-30-20-20=) 51 points left to spend. People that really want to max out Holy Arrow, will have 21 points left after that. The big Question then is: will I leave Mp Eater or Teleport at level 1? The answer: Mp Eater. Teleport will save you alot more Mp then a maxed Mp Eater will give you back. Allmost all of the monsters in MapleStory have low base mp (exception for Crimsonwood Keep, and Boss Monsters). Teleport will also give you some other advantages in GuildPQ, traveling, and reaching Platforms that give you extremely usefull shortcuts you can't reach at level 1.
Once again I'd like to recommend people that really want Holy Arrow, to think things over once or twice again. Holy Arrow will be completely overpowered by Shining Ray in 3rd job. Holy Arrow does indeed have more range then Shining Ray, but in 4th job you gain Angel Ray. Angel Ray is basicly the same skill as Holy Arrow, but much, MUCH more powerfull. You will have to take this skill in 4th job anyway, and before 4th job there are enough alternatives to train and have fun that are faster, and commonly seen as better, then with Holy Arrow. Mp Eater has the advantage over Holy Arrow because it will assist you your entire way up to level 200. It's also a passive skill so it will auto trigger without having you to even think about it. With the new hype at Crimsonwood Keep to give normal monster a pumpernickelload of Mp (Firebrand 2nd form has over 10k mp) this skill might prove itsself even more usefull in the future.

For more information on the Holy Arrow debate Id like to point to this thread: http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthre...?t=1151751

I dunno, this kind of seems like the stereotypical cleric guide. You might either

a) Put so much content it outcontents all other guides, but this is going to be hard.
or
b) Come up with something unusual.
