Post Big Bang-Critical Useless?
#1
So yea, I'm looking into coming back to maple after big bang hits. Even though I'm tempted on making one of the resistance classes, I'm planning on staying on my dual blader xD (hes already got a pet, decent potentialed equips, crappy dagger but meh can't have everything nice)

I've been lurking around threads lately and people seem to keep saying this one little bit about how critical is now pretty insignificant to your damage. Is this true?

Basically, I'm asking if thorns is worthless post big bang? Because if it is, I could probably allocate those 30 points into another more useful skill like final cut or chains of hell (or mirror image / w/e that dummy cloning thing is to get that 25% extra avoid boost)

Will I be totally screwed if I don't add thorns in as of right now? (Dual Blader is level 127)

Crits are still awesome. It's just not as awesome cause everyone can do it instead of a few key classes getting it. In BB, the dual blader's thorns will raise everyone's minimum crit rate to 30% as well as giving more damage to the crit. I would say that's pretty significant considering that a hero, with no crit raising skill (none passive that is), only has 5% crit. With just thorns, you raised that hero's damage by a whole bunch.

It's really up to you. you won't be "screwed" by going one build over the other. Do whatever you feel is good. Crits are in no way useless. Extra damage is never useless.

It's just that now SE/Thorns don't make classes that already have criticals double their damage. Instead everyone gets about the same buff from recieving SE/Thorns and it's around +10% DPS.
