potential item drops.

i couldnt find any thread related to this soo i made one here... anyway my question is, which place is the best for a level 60 and above cape and earrings? i found a black giles cape at pepes but that took an hour and a half without 2x drop. suggestions ?


off-topic : the black giles cape was revealed with 8dex. i was sort of happy but im hoping for a % potential.

Samihos (3 tailed fox in KFT) drop tons of the lv55 Holy Cross Earrings. I don't know of any good spots for higher level ones.

Speaking to Cactuar, it was either Gobies or Bone Fish that dropped Giles Capes and Bains that dropped Rose Earrings.

I hear Gobies drop quite a number of capes (with the added bonus of Bone Fish dropping Rose Earrings), but I've personally hunted them for about two hours and have not found a single one. Then again, most of the people farming capes there could probably slice through the entire map with little trouble very quickly, whereas a 8x Ranger like I would consider that place to be a decent training spot rather than a farming area. Not that it matters to you at the moment, seeing as you're Level 6x at the moment.

Why do you need Level 60 and above capes, anyways? The types of potential bonuses you get from Level 31-70 equips are all the same. The reason why I mention this is because Holy Cross Earrings drop like crazy from Grizzlies in Mu Lung, and they're Level 55 earrings (although the 3-tailed foxes might drop even more, I haven't tried those yet). I've also heard that Hectors drop Green Napoleon capes quite often, but I've personally never tested that out.

I would recommend the captains in mu lung (the mini dungeon) because they drop both lvl 65 cape and lvl 65 earrings.

Ive been hunting pepes and harps for quite awhile and only got one cape, which came out decent with 8dex from potential.

Im level 70 and have no idea where to hunt for these kind of stuffs.
