I was wondering, after maxing fire charge, should I go for lightning or charged blow? Cause Im gonna do either one and the other following. Which do you guys think would bemore beneficial to training? Im thinking that advanced basics skill in second job will make slash blast good enough a mob skill till maybe level 90-100. However, is the extra range rom charged blow really good to get early?

Most likely Charged Blow would be better than a 2nd charge since that stun is quite nice. Furthermore Charge Blow not dispelling charges makes it a viable method of training unlike how it used to be. *Is bitter*

250% SB @ 6 targets vs. 360% CB @ 4 targets. (44% increase on 4 targets or less)

I haven't managed to test dual charging post-BB yet, but pre-BB it only adds about 8% damage, so CB is way better. Honestly Dual Charging is pretty useless pre-BB and I've seen nothing to suggest that changes afterward.

The range makes a huge difference, on my Tespia Page I only used Ground Smash, Slashblast is just pathetically useless because it can't hit anything.

I trained with ice charge through my 100-120, so charge blow didn't make a huge difference. I'd say get charge blow anyway since it's more useful that lightning charge.

Just make sure you grab ice charge. It's a really important skill.

Has no one else considered getting Charged blow before maxing a charge? Charges are like a 10 sec duration per level right? So you have a minute duration at level 6? id personally get a charge to 6/9 then CB to the point were it is better than at least my current main mob skill. Then i'd probably get my starting charge to 11 as that is plenty long enough duration for my typical training style and continue maxing CB. The it will be back to my first charge. After that i'll probably get that healing skill out of pure personal playstyle preference.

I really think WKs getting some pretty effective options for "mixing it up" so to speak when it comes to post-bb skill builds.

Thoughts?

Hm, I hadn't even seen the new charge blow. That's neat. I definitely recommend going charge blow really early now.

If charges give 100% element damage at early levels then i'd agree that that does sound interesting. Im not sure if that's the case though but prior to BB, even without CB discharging this wouldn't be ideal simply because of how drastic a damage increase fire charge gave, from both the increased fire element as well as the increase in skill damage.

at minimum CB would have to be at least lvl 11 before id imagine it seeing some use - thats when it outdamages slashblast and hits 3 targets, which is reasonable.

as for alternate skills after fire charge / CB - anyone consider Combat Orders? Since i plan to abuse COs' +2 to all unmaxed skills (all useful-but-unneccessary skills at 8/18) i think id rather do that as long as theres plenty of fire weak monsters for me to train on (and once i hit gallos at 94 im set unless they fix them appropriately)

They do not i believe but it isnt like it is going to lower your damage at any rate. And i think getting into CB earlier would seem to be well worth it. I guess i'll know more when i get to try it out. lol at waiting to level characters not because i just want easier leveling but because i want to try builds out.
