Inaccurate damage displays
#1
Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:

This has been going on since the dual blade patch, but it still hasn't been resolved. The damage that appears on screen is definitely not the damage that I'm dealing, since I've been unable to kill stumps when the damage I'm seeing is over 100. It's actually pretty annoying to see a 109 pop up when a stump or snail is able to shrug it off with barely a scratch on their health bar.

This bug is as old as the game itself. I dont think it will ever be fixed.

I understand that this was something that archers have been plagued with, but I've never heard of it happening to low level warriors. I personally haven't experienced this problem until the release of Dual Blades. It's just wierd. :f6:

You may want to check and see if its only certain monsters affecting you, as just last week i noticed this glitch at bubblings, and i asked my friend if my damage taken was displaying different from what i got.

I also wasnt TAKING the correct damage from these mobs, and when i saw 1 on the screen, i took 23 dmg. But when i went to other monsters the damage was normal and everything was fine.

Check and see if other mobs/places have the same problem. and If you have win 7, i think it might be a incompatibility issue =\

I have had similar problems. On my CB I have hit a WR for 9k damage and it showed about 1/4 of its hp gone. As well, on my hero I have done a 150k panic and a snail was still alive. (There weren't 2 there, I have tested this multiple times.)

I am thinking Seanny has a point when he says windows 7, because I don't see this happening on my xp comp. But it has only been since the DB patch for me as well I believe.

My computer is Vista, but I head that Vista has issues occasionally also. It really is irritating though, especially when I a 125k at Oblivion 4 (or whatever their hp is) and then it turns out that my Cruel Ring's 1% 1hko didn't actually activate and I really only hit it for around 30 to 40k.

On a side note, it's a bit humorous when I kill monsters even though my damage says that I missed.

It's not likely to be a compatibility issue. People have gone over this "bug" time and time again here. The difference comes from the damage being calculated server side, and the damage being shown doesn't always match up. The HP bars always seem to match up, however, so if you want definitive "numbers," so to speak, look at the bars.

I've had this happen on my Aran and DB quite a bit, but for some reason it's yet to happen on my Paladin.
Maybe it's only certain monsters that are being affected, just as what Seanny said?

I've had it happen on my paladin a few times, but I can only notice it when my damage is that of an instant kill on the monsters. If it really is a compatibility issue, then that's just one more reason why Nexon should hurry up and make maple work with Vista and 07. Tongue
