"pokemon diamond"
#1
after looking at all of the new pokemon and realising how strange it will be to play with none of the persistently appearing pokes like zubat or tentacool, i remembered a game i played around 10 years ago on an emulator. it was really foreign (in every sense of the word) and clearly isn't a part of the pokemon series. i just looked and i still have it, but i'm wondering anyone knows what the heck this really is. like i said, it's called pokemon diamond and has a picture of lapras at the start and then... goes downhill from there. here's an image i just took

anyone know anything about this?

Most likely a joke romhack of a Pokemon game. There are almost as many romhack Pokemon games as there is romhack Super Mario games.

The real game is called Telefang, and is in fact a very good game, there is also a sequel in the GBA.

Looks like a cross between Pokemon and Digimon.

you run into ...whatever they're called... in tall grass and instead of having a team, sometimes when you defeat them they give you their phone number. then at the beginning of battle you phone up the one you want and it may or may not come. it's a nutty game.

Yes, weird and nutty but trust me it's good. Just don't play it expecting it to be like ANYTHING else you ahve ever played.

That makes it seem even more like a cross between the two, with them talking and all. (Meowth doesn't count)

I wonder if it's the same one I played a long time ago. I downloaded it thinking it was a Pokemon hack, but turned out to be something completely different, I was so lost I quit it and then deleted it.

Ah, never knew throwing baseballs could end up into calling odd monsters.

Bootleg games are fun

Sure brings back memories; I bought that on a GBA cartridge from some random store. It really IS hard; I only managed to get up to the ocean area before I quit.
