My Computer likes Loops
#1
Yesterday it BSOD'd again. It had been a little over a week and a half since I dusted it, so I gave it a quick dusting this morning. After everything was plugged in, it borked.

Running diagnostics to reconnect internet (I've had mild issues with connecting to the internet on startup forever) set up a loop that didn't end. It just kept "Checking for problems with internet connectivity" even after the internet came online. A similar thing happened when I tried installing system updates. Now this isn't a big deal, since it still works. But now Maple doesn't. When I run it, it opens "MapleStory.exe*32" in the processes window. It eats 19,532 K memory every time and doesn't do anything.

What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Little detail to the Maple problem: Happens with both kMS and gMS, except gMS uses 31 MB of memory. Oddly enough, a v0.62 client works just fine.

Edit: To add to this, Steam is starting up really slowly. The window is up, but my mouse turns into a wheel when I put it in. clicking brings the "Steam is not responding" window.

v0.62 likely has a HS or GG bypass.

I'd check motherboard drivers if I were you.

Try http://www.oldversion.com/Everest-Home-Edition.html

Though it maybe too old.
