What do you think about the Dual Blade translation?

Patches and translations come and go and people are sometimes left with a bad taste in their mouth from the way stuff was translated.

So let's put our Kataras down for a moment and talk about the job names, skills, and quests instead.


First off I have to say I really like the way NA changed the job names making them a lot less bland and boring as the KMS ones. And while there wasn't really any way they could mess them up the skill names are also nice, but I did like Ido Booster better than Katara Booster.

And while I haven't completed the quest line yet it seems pretty well put together, I haven't noticed any major errors.


How do you feel about the translation Nexon gave Dual Bladers?

Well the fact that Dual Blades use kataras with daggers sounds more interesting than the generic "blade" named weapon.

i havent played much to see many of the translation but they seem ok so far to me i would have liked for the katara to be called something else though maybe a tanto or sumthing

People really need to stop thinking just because they renamed their weapon doesn't mean they have to rename the job.

I was going to say something about how it at least it sounded more interesting than plain old blade. KMS didn't really put any effort at all into naming anything to do with Dual Bladers except for their skills, GMS at least tried something.

I never got where "Ido" came from in the Dual Blade booster. Is it a loose translation or just the sounds of the Hangul? "Ido Booster" always sounded stupid to me. I like the JP name better, "Dual Booster."

I like how they renamed the advancement names, Katara sounds better than a plain old 'blade', too.

I know what a Katara is, but they should have kept the class true to its name. "Blade" as a weapon fit better with the name of the class.

I think the job names could have been better; other than blade master all the others sound kinda dumb...
I also kinda miss it being called Owl Dead vs Owl Spirit
