the banquet thing in part 3 was scary
the part with the tea girl was just very very sad =[ what's even more sad though is i bet the kids in part 12 could probably play saxohpone better than i could when i was a senior in highschool even with my 10+ years of experience...

Teaching everything you need won't take you anywhere. As a human being, our potential resides in discovering stuff by ourselves.
Take that away from people, and you are manipulating them. In North Korea, they don't even let you have internet, or knowledge from outside their nation. In my point of view, that's taking humanity out of people. The main difference I see between sects and religions is that religions, at least, give you that freedom. Sects, on the other hand, forbid you contact with the outside of it. And even then, most religions only act like that to look nice.

The tour guides in the videos were specifically showing westerners around. The entire tour was staged and not just "Hey, lets go here!". What need would they have to teach their students English? They don't interact with the Western world at all.

This video convinces me it's better to live in North Korea than USA.
A country controlled by a leader that wants their country to success is better than a country controlled by big corporation that only cares about profit.

A leader of a country has a moral obligation to keep his people safe and not lie to them. A business, on the other hand, is designed to make money. Complaining that a business only wants to make money is like complaining that a fish only wants to swim.
Then there's Fox News. They are all around horrible, and should not be used as a standard for anything. There's a reason they're called Faux News.

The fox news employee sued and lost the case, because lying in the media is not illegal, even though the lie would give millions of Americans cancer.

I was going to say that lying in the media is illegal, but I stumbled upon this:
Quote:On February 14, a Florida Appeals court ruled there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization. The court reversed the $425,000 jury verdict in favor of journalist Jane Akre who charged she was pressured by Fox Television management and lawyers to air what she knew and documented to be false information. The ruling basically declares it is technically not against any law, rule, or regulation to deliberately lie or distort the news on a television broadcast. Way to go USA. |
