Is there really an increase in HP?
Just curious lol.
I was seeing Spadow's blog and I saw this picture of his.
So I was wondering about it.

Please let me know if there's stuff I forgot (I know there is)
Here is EVERYTHING that will be coming with Maplestory 2.0:
USER INTERFACE:
- 1024 x 768 resolution available. You can choose to go between 800 x 600 (Maplestory's current standard) and the higher resolution at will. Windowed mode is available for both resolutions.
- If you choose 1024 x 768 mode, the quick slot stuff is moved to the bottom right corner and is inline with the rest of the status bar --> Example
- All of the map mini-icons are rehashed with gradients.
- The stat window now shows more information --> Example. In order, the items in the stat window are as follows: Damage Range, Critical Chance, WDEF, MDEF, Physical Accuracy, Magical Accuracy, Physical Avoid, Magic Avoid, Speed, and Jump
- Recommended skills (where it shows a thumbs up in the skill window during first job) is removed
- Victoria Island is shuffled around --> Example
SKILLS:
- All weapon damage formulas are changed. Magic Attack now works similarly to Weapon Attack. Both INT and LUK are factored into magic damage. All magic damage on skills are based on a percentage and not on "basic attack" anymore.
p- All jobs receive a new skill in every job. Some older unused skills were removed.
- Jobs which had two masteries and two boosters had one mastery and one booster removed. Now there is one mastery skill which affects both weapon classes. For example, Pages had BW mastery and BW booster removed. However, putting points into Sword Mastery also affects BW mastery.
- Ranged characters now no longer have minimum range. So there is no more bow/gun whacking or claw punching.
- All classes now have an innate ability to do critical damage.
CALCULATIONS:
- Accuracy formulas are changed.
- Base mastery is now 15%. Mastery is a multiplier on the overall max damage.
- All classes now have greatly increased HP compared to before. Conservative estimates are about a 30% increase.
- All mobs levels are greatly increased and HP values also increased. For example, chief oblivions are now 15x. Major boss levels (Zak, HT, PB) did not change.
- Experience to next level greatly reduced (almost by 50 - 60%)

The old system changed how much HP you gain on a level up or through AP based on job and skill level. The new one is a passive HB. Not sure how it's affected by AP though.
In theory, characters made before the patch should have a lot more HP than that same character made after the patch. . . . Heh.
My Dual Blader gained roughly 100 HP. I logged in on him and maxed out the HP Booster skill, and his HP shot up.
Note, this was on the day of the patch, so I added SP from highest job down, minimizing error.

^--- What was your HP after getting the HP booster skill?
As for Spadow's Viper not increasing in HP, I'm okay with that. As long as it's not lolranged HP I'm happy. I think the HP increase is in regards to ranged classes only, and those with the new HP increasing skills didn't get an HP increase.

Spadow's picture is misleading because he didn't add any SP into anything before taking that picture, therefore not recieving any additional HP

That is my HP after I added the skill. o-o It's an exact 10% increase from 1906 to 2096. My HP was unchanged until I added to the skill.

Oh okay. I thought you received an extra 100 HP for free after the revamp and you didn't add into the HP increasing skill yet since you said "maxed out the HP Booster skill, and his HP shot up". To me, shooting up in HP at 1906 would be hundreds of extra hit points, but on the other hand ~190 is good too.

I typed it with numbers from memory, checked the screen shots and realized I gained 100 HP, not 700. Changed a few digits and hit save. :S
Bad wording on my part.

Wait, so if you gain HP upon adding into the HP bonus skill...does that mean your HP basically gets multiplied by 1.2 for Brawlers and Warriors after the patch? (From the 20% HP skill)
Double post, delete this.

DB HP Skill adds 10%, so it would appear so. Now who gains HP faster: Pre- or post-BB Warriors, DBers, Thieves, Warriors, et cetera?

The skill does not increase the HP you gain when leveling.
What would happen is this;
Say you are a lvl 42 warrior. Because you are a god among men (and I want simple numbers for easy math) you have 10,800 hp.
You have 10,800 HP because the skill takes your base hp (in this case 9000) and increases it by 20%.
Say you lvl to 43, and gain 100 HP (once again because you are a god among men). The HP you gain from leveling isn't increased by the skill.
Now, your base hp is 9,100. The skill now applies, increasing it by 20%. Giving you 10,920 HP.
I think people are confusing the skill increasing the amount of HP you gain per level with just increasing the amount of HP you have. The HP you gain when you level will seem like more because of the HP increasing skill, but the amount of Hp you gain per level is not increased by the HP skill.

They might have changed how much HP is gained with AP and leveling. I have seen nothing that says it's the same.
And the lv 43 warrior in your example would have 10,920 HP, not 10,820.

Ya sorry I made a typo.
But ya, I just cant see it working like that. That would screw the people who are already high leveled over so hard. I can't see it happening that way.
If it doesn't affect the HP you recieve when you level up, then it's equal for everyone.

ok i hope im not making this more confusing, but im hearing 2 different things:
- every job's hp is being increased by the patch? true false?
if true, is this % based or based on a set amount of extra hp different for what level your character is?
would for instance an aran get extra hp? we dont have the max hp increase skill?
- then there are people who say only the jobs that used to have max hp increase get extra hp via the new skill? true/false?
if true then does that mean the other jobs dont get extra hp at all like (again) aran since they dont have the hp skill?
and i was kind of hoping if somebody could confirm if the hp per ap changed for any class? its being denied and confirmed by different people

Your Base HP is not going to change after the patch. At all. Not even a little. Several classes have a skill that increases HP just like Hyper Body, except it's passive. The boost range from 10 to 30%(?).

so for my hero this is wonderfull, i have used max hpincrease for nearly 200 levels, and now i dont use it anymore they replace it with a skill that boosts my hp by 30% while i keep the extra hp gained from max hp increase? wonderfull!
edit: for new players this sux though, if i would normally have 13000 hp before hyperbody, before they changed the hp skills, i would get
13000 hp x 1,6 = 20800 hp with hyperbody
with the new skill i have 10000 hp base and 3000 hp extra hp from a passive boost, this would look like its the same; 13000 hp, but if i get hyperbody it becomes
10000 hp x (1,6+0,3) = 19000 hp with hyperbody
maybe max hp increase didnt really give 3000 hp, maybe less, but my point is, on the long term you gain less hp %-wise from hyperbody because new players get extra % hp instead of base hp
ugh i guess it doesnt matter much since we get a lot of hp% equips aswell, hp isnt really an issue anymore.. ever
for arans this kind of doesnt matter much since we have "level 5" max hp increase implemented into our hp per lvlup/ap formula.. and since thats not really a skill we get to keep it, meaning we can still hpwash much
unless they changed the hp/lvlup and hp/ap for every class, id like to know if this is really the case or not

The Warrior version is 20% MaxHP increase.

this was said somewhere else on this forum, i believe in one of the extraction topics
i could look up where that's been said, anyways if something has been said it doesnt make it true right away, thats why im hoping for some answers/confirmations from KMS people

The 30% is only assuming it's possible to gain an extra 5 skill points beyond the cap of 10.
See this?
---최대 HP 20% 증가---
The lines mean that's the normal cap. The 30% is assuming it's possible to stack levels beyond the normal cap.
