whats with the kid-doll-thing? I AFKed there, came back, and was taking damage from it...then it dissappeared!

There are ghosts in some of the picture frames, it's a monster that only attacks very infrequently and doesn't normally do bump damage.

It always was there.

I just never noticed it... is it attackable

Thought you might be able to poison/powerguard it...don't think so, though.

I know of one that pops out of a mirror in one of the rooms that you can poison.

Ever since the House came out, when it was NX only.

IIRC, you can't kill it, since it is a background "monster", like spikes.

The properties for it are located in Map.wz, rather than Mob.wz, similar to those spikes, ice shards, geysers, etc. that harm you but aren't 'monsters' per se.

I've never seen it before, and I've leveled 60-70 at hoodoos in the mornings.

So basically, it's just another trap thing but it fits the... "theme".

That ghost kid appears in a lot of places in the haunted house. He doesn't appear often though; he just fades into view, then fades away.

He also appears quite a bit back behind the fireplaces in that area accessible with the omni-key (not the vault).

I believe there was some sort of story that regarded him in the quests last Halloween, but I cannot recall it. I do know that all the NPCs inside the mansion turned out being already long dead though (except for I believe the butler or some sort of child related to the family who turned into the old man outside the mansion {bah, my memory sucks}). I just can't quite place who he was.

But no, in GMS they never mentioned the deal with that kid. If you do the Smores quest the Agent mentions him, but he doesn't give much detail. There's a hole in the quest data right after the Smores quest, so I always expected a follow up to explain the kid, but it hasn't materialized.

Still don't know what his deal is though.

this would be a good opportunity for them to reopen the pumpkin vault (loki chests spawn again) and have another follow up on to why the hell that kid is around.

Maybe they will do something about the kid during the next Halloween event. Afterall (correct me if I am wrong), but didn't NXProse say something about a big thing coming in October.

Oh great, now I'm kind of interested in that kid's story >_>.
