What gender do you go for when playing an MMO?

Female.

I don't really think about the pros and cons of playing either gender, I just instinctively pick male.

This mainly happened in WoW btw, but it branched out to MS and DFO: I go for male as my first character whenever I can. It's simply a rule for me. However, I do not shy away from making a female character as I continued to play the MMO, but for three and three reasons only:

1. I already have this character of this race and/or class type (I made so many male warriors in Maple in between boredom and regrets my Page was an lolclass I decided my Aran should be female just to mix things up)
2. I want to make a class with a female as either a gimmick or it feels more appropriate (appropriate was a female rogue or mage; gimmicky will be a female worgen warrior in WoW's next expansion because female tanks in plate appeals to me)
3. There is no male choice for the class yet I want to play because either the class is very strong or has promise (this applies to DFO where I made a female Summoner for being a god tier solo class as well as party member, and a female Fighter-to-be Nen Master because they have great potential to be a powerful soloer and a godly party member for their offense/defense/party buffs)

I never make a female character because they are more appealing or to look at. If I wanted appealing females I'd go look at porn or beautifully drawn fanart.

Whatever gives me the most benefits.
