What is this called?

the thing over the guys head that is a (poorly) drawn umbrella; would that be considered an awning if youre look at that picture from the perspective of seeing the man standing outside of a mall entrance from a side view? if not an awning, what'd that be called? the word escapes me at present.

No. he is standing outside, and its raining. He is standing in front of the door to a mall, and is about to head into the parking lot to go to his car. He has his umbrella open, but what is it called that outcropping of w/e that would be over the door to the mall that would stop the rain for falling on his head had he not had the umbrella?
