Attempt on drawing something realistic

For someone that only drew child'ish drawings and cute ones for his own life. Drawing something realistic is really difficult.
This is my first serious attempt on drawing an human, which's my weak point.
Also, give me a discount, brightness ruined out the shading that gave the face a good look.



Also, don't notice out the mess on the desk. :|

LOL. If you take a look at it. It says "CONTAIN 5 CHARCOAL PIECES."
That's a charcoal pencil pack, LOL.

Very great work. Did you have a picture to reference or someone sitting there? If not, its fantastic for a memory drawing. Even with something to reference, its pretty damn good.

I would suggest taking it to kinkos or somethin and scanning it, thatll help ya get a nice digital copy and be able to adjust it to be closer to the hard media. (paper = hard, digital = soft)

That was a random image. Came to my mind, started drawing the eyes and ended up with that. When i tried using a picture for reference in an attempt, it didn't turn out good.
Had to take that pic with my camera, scanner ruined the quality of the image when i did scan it. I'll try to get a better quality image.

For a memory/made up drawing, thats pretty damn good, lot better than alot of people can do.
