New Season Digimon

Digimon Xros Wars (デジモンクロスウォーズ Dejimon Kurosu Wōzu), pronounced "Digimon Cross Wars" is the sixth series of Digimon.

News regarding this series emerged in April 2010, where it was revealed by Fumuo de Pon that a set of Digimon straps for what was described as being a "new Digimon anime premiering on television throughout Japan!", alongside other capsule toy releases from Bandai Vendor Division.[1] The title of the series, as well as the name of the main protagonist were revealed in the June 2010 issue of V Jump magazine.

It is scheduled to air in Japan in July 2010 on TV Asahi, unlike the previous series of Digimon which aired on Fuji TV.

Not sure what to make of it. As long as there's no card swiping and digimon boding bs, I'll check it out. I still have faith in digimon from seasons 1 and 2.

Ugh, mixed reactions. Being a hardcore Digimon fan, I can't wait to see it. However, I'm sick of the Greymon/Agumon trend. 4th season = ____Greymon. 5th season = Burninggreymon. F*CKING STOP IT. I used to love Agumon until they slammed him or his digivolutions into a new season. Goddamn.

I still want to see this, just to see what it's like. The background digimon in the shadow looked like a new type of Greymon. :/ God..damnit..

Gen 1 was the only good in digimon, face it.
I never liked generations 2-4, and didn't even know there was a 5th, I guess it was never shown here.

1st and 2nd were always the best. This looks like total pomegranate. I stopped watching Digimon after the 4th season, I don't plan on watching anything after it.

4th season was so terrible that I can't stand to watch it. I only watched it to see Susanomon. :/ Even then, it's like a gazillion digivolutions to get to where he's at. Even Omnimon only took 2 Mega levels to create. :/ Imperialdramon Paladin Mode took a total of '3' Mega levels. And Susanomon? UUUUUGGGGHHHHH

Well, since I'm a giant Digimon fan, I can't wait to see it.

I'm also kinda doubting that this'll be good though, but I'll probably watch it anyways... The digimon in the poster look kinda weird and non-digimon-likish. I hope they don't do all of that crap they did (with the merging with the digimon or whatever), and just keep it simple with the digivices.

Also, for those who are interested, list of "Super Ultimate" level Digimon. This is the stage beyond that of Mega.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what broke digimon. After season 1 and 2, seasons 3+ felt like a different series that just took the digimon franchise. Maybe tsundere Rika wasn't meant to be in English. Maybe Guilmon's baby personality never developed into anything. Maybe Takato, despite wearing goggles, never grew into a real leader. Maybe card games should've stayed in YuGiOh. Maybe DNA digivolving should've stayed unique between digimon and digimon and not digimon and human.

But whatever it is, they need to mix the genres of drama, saving the world and "friendship and teamwork is best thing ever" concept back that was really lacking in the later seasons.

It was partially Season 3. I'll explain why.

The reason S3 was good and bad at the same time was because Guilmon was a dinosaur-looking Digimon, similar to Agumon. Main character also looked similar to Tai and Davis due to the usage of his 'goggles'. This can be either a good thing or a bad thing, you choose. It got pretty crappy when humans started to merge / fuse with Digimon. The previous 2 seasons were nothing like this. What made it really crappy was the final-endanime (lol) boss, which is a .. VIRUS?!?!?!? Not a Digimon?! MY. GOD.

Season 4 completely killed it when humans no longer have a Digimon partner, but rather, elemental spirits fusing with them instead.

Is it bad that I didn't really like Digimon till the 4th season came out? I watched season 4 religiously every day before school. My favorite was Duskmon.

I think what I liked the most was that humans were becoming Digimon. It was something I had always imagined I had wanted to do - transform into something else. I've never really wanted to control some being to fight for me, and that is why the first Digimons didn't really appeal to me, I guess.

Am I the only one who liked Digimon Frontier? The prospect of the humans actually DOING something instead of just standing there being of no use at all appealed to me. I guess that's why Frontier was such a hit on me. But still, agreed that 1 & 2 were best seasons. 4 was good too, imo.
