How to survive with MG lvl 5...
#1
5 minuts ago i lvled to lvl 36 and i found out while doing quests in Kerning Squre that it hard to keep battling against strong monsters and heal myself with pots...
So, my question is: what am i supposed to do to keep servive while i'm killing strong monsters with MG lvl 5?

Do what the warriors do? Pot when hurt? I'll be a pot burning for sure. But CPQing is always an option...

You won't be able to level where a normal mage would at later levels. Without max mg, look forward to snail speed leveling.

Warriors don't pot on every hit. They're built to take several hits before needing to pot. Same as mages with maxed mg.

CPQ is also not an option, the potions don't drop near fast enough in there. I CPQ'ed 30-50 recently on a Dawn Warrior, and had to ask low-mg Evans to just sit on top, since they were using up all the potions - and then dying anyway.

Hopefully, after May 4th, the MG book will become readily available to the nx-less.

My Paladin is a 2hko at Oblivion Guardians so I do pot after every magic hit :x touch does less damage though. It's not that hard to pot every time you get hit.

I am told not to expect it before June-July unless Nexon is convinced it's higher priority than they currently see it. Wasn't in the Anniversary plans.

Well it's a good thing I gave up on playing an Evan and have no plans to play them anymore. Thanks Nexon for saving me money Big Grin Rolleyes

Hm with level 5 MG it's gonna be hell wherever they go really. Cold eyes are decent training exp if you can afford the pot costs..

It's honestly not that hard at all. Ive been playing my Evan without dying a single time (excluding CPQ) so far. Also, you only die in CPQ at lower levels, just as any other job in there. At level 45 I already gained more CP inside CPQ than I did on any other job so far, without dying at all anymore.
Perhaps it might become a real problem at Skeles or Newts, but at lower levels it's really not as big of a deal as most people make it sound. The so called 'pot burn' is a blatant lie as well. We can freeze for a reason.

That's why I didn't MG until my 70s on my IL. After that point it started getting insane.
