(The Funhouse's Book Club) Kilala Princess
#1
Are any of you by any chances acquainted with Oprah's Book Club? If you're unaware, it's the book discussion club segment of the Oprah Winfrey Show, where every month, Oprah picks out a book that pretty much a good number of the country follows to read and discuss together.

What I want to ask of you guys is to follow me with the read of a lifetime. Yes, you heard me right: read of a lifetime, and that's none other than the greatness of Kilala Princess. It doesn't matter if you aren't very well acquainted with manga or just plain dislike it. I'd like you all to hear me out before you tell me "no".

Recently, I've discovered this title by accident while I was searching for something that Spidey brought up; and when I read the synopsis and saw the cover, I was awe-inspired and blown away by how great this thing is.

First things first: the cover

Now that we've gotten our first impressions of this, I'd like you to read the summary:

"Meet Kilala, an ordinary girl who loves all the Disney Princesses. When she awakens a sleeping prince named Rei, she magically gains the power of the princesses! Rei is searching for the missing princess of his world, and has a magical tiara that will lead him to her. But before Kilala can help him find the missing princess and restore peace to his world, Kilala's best friend, Erica, is kidnapped by mysterious men! So, with the help of the magical tiara and Rei, Kilala sets off on a quest to find her!"

Oh God- yes. A few questions I've gotten out of reading this already: exactly what does it mean by "magically gains the power of the princesses"? Does it mean the power to be rescued and the power to sing? Or how about, "who is the mysterious princess"?! The synopsis already seems like we're bound for one hell of a ride, and I want Southperry to join me to read this fast 20 chapter read. Not very long at all.

So- what do you say guys? Will you join me?

First things first: let's get a list of participants in the Kilala Princess challenge before we start doing any reading. Also, I'll include a reading progress list at the bottom so people can see how far we're up to.
