Getting to lv 100 with 25% magic guard
#1
Is it possible?
What is the max lv I could achieve?

200, as long as you don't get 0 exp from lower leveled enemies.

Is there really no way to get the books outside of the cash shop?

I call shenanigans on nexon.

Well as for now only Cash Shop. But it's under the tab Event maybe it will be available later as normal monster drop or quest. Or it's only in the Event tab because it is on sale right now and later as permanent at a normal price in the Cash Shop.

Did Magic guard and the others have mastery books in the first place? Or is this all just a Nexon AM ploy to drain money from us?

It didn't.

And now it's causing a problem with the skill itself.

Because there's too many skill points.

Where did that extra SP come from? Do the books give you additional SP?

Yep, but in KMS, they gave you enough SP from quests to max all the skills already.

So do you actually do the advancement with 1 extra sp? If you only have level 5 mg, you would advance with 16 extra sps?
Or is that a way for nexon to force us to buy the book else we can't advance...

Evan's SP is separated for each mastery (ie. can't use 3rd mastery SP in any other mastery) so you'll be able to advance just fine.

Anyone know how people are getting different MG levels though? One of my friends is stuck with 6 SP and can't add anymore =(

But i know they didn't get all the quest SP so that might be why (Didn't actually get any quest SP for that mastery)

I have 6 SP left over, because I forgot to add SP when I leveled to level 39.

And now I can't do anything about it.

Wow, so I'm screwed too? I have Bolt maxed and several SP stored, ready to go whenever I find the non-nx mastery book their representative assured us was there (Tongue). (I was prepared to play hard ball and not buy the mastery books unless ABSOLUTELY necessary)

Lets be real here though, this is a very visible fk-up on Nexon's part. Its an essential skill that players will encounter relatively early into their Evan character. As more and more people get to the 3rd Mastery level, they'll get more and more complaints, bug reports, etc. The thing with Nexon though, is that there's a kind of "split personality" that the players have to deal with. There are essentially two paths that we've seen them take with these types of problems before: They'll either:

(a) Recognize it quickly and we'll see a patch shortly... fixing the bug, and returning it to the way that Nexon intended it to be, mimizing the impact to the majority of the players.

or

(b) Their head will remain buried in the sand on the issue for at least until the patch next month.

In the past, we've seen class-specific problems get lumped into letter (b), while issues affecting the entire maple population (dark tokens, hyper droprate on Maple Weapons, Chaos Scrolls) going to option (a). The saving grace here, is that this issue is affecting the one thing that a vast majority of the players are using at the moment. So your guess is as good as mine as to what they'll do.

My preference? They should do the hidden © option: "The Right Thing". It's what we're all thinking: Remove the requirement for books on these low leveled skills (after all, it's how it was intended originally... can't be that hard to revert it back), and credit back those who already bought the mastery books with Maple Points. Nexon needs to take this as a lesson on how *not* to gouge it's customers... especially when there's a million other ways to do it way more effectively. Biggrin

LOL that sounds good. Evan can't even get to that high of a level without dying anyway, so now they can by ridiculous Bishop Genesis 30 prices for their books.
