i believe tho, these mounts come with a skill in your beginners tab. other questions to bounce ideas...

1. After 5 days, is the skill removed from your beginners tab, or does it sit there doing nothing?
2. the skill expires, do the mounts expire also? (seems obvious, but only pictures I've seen is of the skill, or do you only get the skill and no mount items?)

In the description of the skill icon there is a timer of 2010year, 3month, 1day, 22hour, 44minute, probably means it will expire on that exact date and time.

Can always hope for there to be a monumental mess up which means it'll last 2010 years before expiring. (wishful thinking)
