Windows 7 + MS = ?

So yeah, I just got Windows 7 64-bit version. Do you guys feel like you lag as much as when you have Vista (with Windows Updates enabled, and all updates are installed)? I installed updates on my Windows 7, and I don't lag as bad, but sometimes, MS feels SHAKEY or it's missing frames whenever I'm FJing or whatever. Because my character seems shakey when I FJ. Which doesn't happen when I disable updates and sh't, and don't install any on Vista.

Can anybody give any experiences that they've had with Windows 7 + MS for me? Thanks.

I haven't noticed any change from Vista to Win7 when using Maple. I don't boss. Ever. So I can't talk about Zakum or anything.
Just ignore the "COMPATABILITY ISSUES DETECTED" spasout it gives you.

Oh, forgot about one thing. Going into Windowed Mode would error, and lag me. If I pressed OK, it'd be like it never happened. If I left the notice up for a bit, my character in game would freeze. Think of spamming Quest log back in the day. Too long would DC me.
One day it magically went away.

Idk, I've been hearing different shit from people left and right. Some says Windows 7 =

-An upgrade to XP

GUI-wise, it looks a lot like Vista. However, in terms of performance, I notice it's . . . better? Or maybe it's just me. I'll tinker around with it tomorrow. Probably gonna system-restore to 'before' Windows Updates and see if my MS still lags a bit. Or I might not even bother, and just start getting softwares to protect my computer from malicious viruses.

have you tried updating your video drivers? i've been using 7 since it rtm'ed and i haven't had lag problems. :f6:

I believe I attempted at doing this a while back. Will try again. If this doesn't work, getting a better graphics-card would be best, but that involves money. Something I don't want to look forward to, not til all of my financial problems are cleared with anyways

EDIT: Tried updating video-driver, uh... it's already updated to the most current one. Meh. Well, I can handle with small lag issues. Won't kill me.

I get the same disconnecting issues at zakum, horntail, balrog, etc. but spamming graphics changes seems to stop it.

I haven't had DC issues at bosses at all o_O

going into full screen mode cures pretty much anything. Yeah i lag when body changes, but that's pretty normal.
