Competitive Pokemon Tournament

Seeing as I was planning to download shoddy again anyway, this should be great to get back into the game. I would prefer either OU or UU. The problem I have is that I live in Europe so I'm about 9 hours ahead in time. I guess I'll decide if I really participate or not when more info is available.

Thing is, about Ubers.. It only takes a good 2-3 turns of decent set-up to wipe an entire team (this was more-so true in 3rd gen, not sure in 4th). Jirachi or Deoxys-F using CM = fcked.

Jirachi's OU, but it's really annoying. Serene Grace doubles the chance of flinch and now it has Iron Head. 30% flinch rate, 80 base, physical, steel type. 60% flinch rate after Serene Grace.

UU isn't bad, because it's less predictable. But then I'd have to search for a LIST of UU's. What about NUs or BLs?

There's about seven Pokemon in BL.

STAB'ed attack with 60% flinch? Do want. And LOL@7 BLs. FFS. 4th Gen metagame is so awkward.

Which is great because it holds some of my favourite Pokémon, while I want to start playing UU. At least I still have Absol and Blaziken though, but I'll miss Porygon-Z and Abomasnow. *starts hoping for Porygon-Z to get moved back to UU*.

I mean, I still have a competitive team made for my 4th gen games, but those are used for friendly matches online whenever someone challenges me. I'm not sure how I'd do in a tourney, but I'll give it a shot. May get me hooked on Shoddy, since I haven't even tried it out yet.

I've used Porygon-Z since, I'm not sure, but I think late 2008. It was in OU back then, and it was UU just a few weeks ago. I hate to see that it moved up, but it really is too powerfull, although my moveset is pretty outdated (Expert Belt with Tri-Attack, Ice Beam, Dark Pulse and Nasty Plot), so I might be able to use it as UU ingame. It's one of the coolest Pokémon to follow you too. Though if I were to use Porygon-Z my whole UU team I'm planning to use would be messed up. Too bad BL doesn't have it's own game.

I can't get Shoddybattle to work for some reason. I just hit the download button, but once I start it all I get is a little loading screen and then nothing happens. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I found something worth looking at a while ago. It's a possible alternative to the Smogon Tier system. Although it's probably going to take a while to take off.

The official Smogon server doesn't support it, and I'd think the lesser known servers won't like an influx of about 8 people since they hardly have any room in the first place.

We're not laddering, it doesn't matter. Just deny challenges from anyone that isn't in the tournament.

Doug's CAP server supports NU, I believe.
