Shoe Attack with Vegas
#1
Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:
The shoe attack 60% scroll clearly says it is able to be used with the Vegas CS item. When I try to put it in I receive an error saying "This scroll cannot be used."

I have tried a combination of various shoes and have not been able to get it to work.

Do you not see the flaw in the description itself...?

Also, on the Nexon site, Shoe for ATT was never mentioned to be able to use with Vega's Scroll.

The description of the scroll is the description of a glove for att scroll, that's why it says it can be used with Vega's scroll, but like PwNeR88 said, shoe for att scroll were never listed in the vega scrolls list.

On the other hand, the description of the 10% scroll for shoe for att seems correct, and it still says it can be used with Vega's scroll. hummm...Hurt

Have you tried using it on a glove? Maybe it might work.

This came to mind -- but at the same point these scrolls were not released when that list cane out, they were in the data but were not announced as being available at that time. Since it clearly says on it can be used and I believe when the extraction came out it was flagged as able to be used.

I thought that also -- I'm not ready to use one to test this theory though.

Do it. Tell us what happens.

If you don't, nobody will ever know the answer. Wouldn't that boggle your mind forever?

And doing so would be like using a 1 bill 60% glove atk...not worth it in my opinion, not even in the name of discovery. Then again, Im not exactly overwhelmingly rich so it might be just me. I'm not entirely sure of the mechanics of scrolling, but if the 60% shoe atk scroll works on shoes, then it shouldnt work on gloves, no? Like there's no way they'd be programmed to work on both, would they?

You still have to click-start the Vega's thing once the item and scroll are in, you could just try putting a glove and the 60% shoe in and see if it'll let you.

Coming from the dude who made a 3% Clean Slate work with a White Scroll. All in the name of discovery.

My point was the risk and reward of such a venture. Simply put, a 60% glove atk + vega (which would have the same affect as your proposal, assuming it worked) would cost roughly 10 mill + the nx, compared to whatever the price of 60% shoe atk scrolls are (800 mill? 900? 1 bill? no idea on market prices right now).

The whole clean slate + white scroll thing cost me I think 300 mill (white scroll) plus my 13 atk glove (400ish mill at the time?), as I had a bunch of clean slates sitting around anyways. That coupled with a friend promising to reimburse my glove if something went wrong made it a small enough risk that it wasnt bank breaking. Simply put, I had almost nothing to lose there. Unless you're going to reimburse this fellow in the event something goes wrong, I see no relevance between the two scenarios.

That's only cuz Alcholix bought your 3% Clean Slate Scroll for 200m, which allowed you to buy your white scroll. Your 13 attack BWG was worth 250m at the time. Since you had quite the collection of Clean Slate scrolls across your various mules at the time, 300m was like nothing to you, plus you had a 94.18% chance at regaining a slot.

I see it now though. It was truly in the name of profit that you made such a move. I'm amused that anyone would reimburse you for such a move, especially when you're the only one who would truly profit from testing this.

It's completely relevant, because testing it on a glove would cost him nothing. It would only be after he presses the [START] button that the scroll would be consumed. If it lets him place the scroll on though, that would be a different story.

We're getting into a completely off tangent conversation here, but you're talking with hindsight right now. I had no solid evidence of what would actually happen with the clean slate + white scroll. Everything was hypothetical, and because the friend who was going to reimburse me couldnt afford a white scroll at the time, he got me to do it, with the reassurance that if it failed, he'd sell his shield (I think it was shield...something worth 350ish mill anyways) to cover the costs. I wasnt doing it for profit, I was doing it to satisfy the curiosity of a friend, who nagged me for a good hour or two (I think? I dont remember, but he kept bringing it up, that eventually I gave in) before I actually tried it. You're amused someone would reimburse such a move? Well, it was Harrison. Many of the things he does doesnt make sense to us normal people. Also, I sold the clean slate scroll a few days AFTER I had tried the white slate thing.

However, back onto the topic, I've had no experience in using vega scrolls, so I really dont know how it works, but if you indeed have to actually scroll to find out if it works or not, I'd say that risk is not worth it. However, if it is as you say, and all he has to do is stick it on to try, then by all means, go for it.

Ps. Im curious who you are behind the Pink Bean info on your side. You seem to know quite a bit about me and I have no idea in hell who you are. Just curious, that's all =P

On topic: Do 60% Shoe Attack Scrolls actually work with Shoes or do they work with gloves too? What if you use it in Legendary Spirit (which would be the UI that's most similar to Vega Scrolls)? If Legendary Spirit blocks you from scrolling a Shoe with 60% Shoe Attack Scroll, it might explain why it blocks you from using it with a Vega Scroll.

Off Topic: Clearly Harrison could afford the scroll, since he made that +6 cape.

Ps. You leave trails all over the forum whenever you post. It's easy to search up such history. I actually don't know much about you at all, other than that and that you're a pianist, your first chara got hacked and deleted, you started over your chara again, you're good at Area Boss hunting, and you're probably inactive by now. ^^

60% Shoe ATK scrolls can only work with shoes.

60% & 10% Shoe ATK scrolls do not work with Vega's Spell.

The following spoiler contains all of the scrolls which work with Vega's Spell:

This sorta relates to it, but do you think the inability to use white scrolls with Vega is a missing feature? My only reasoning behind that is Legendary spirit didn;t always have the checkbox for WS's either right?

Sorry for the late reply but I've been away.
I believe that list is the one provided by Nexon, if so, the Shoe Attack Scrolls were not released at the time of the release of that list. This is only significant because the scrolls clearly state on them that they ARE able to be used with Vegas. Meaning if they had been intended to be used with Vegas they might not have made it onto that list anyway considering the only way we know of their existance at that time would have been through extractions.

You can't put them on the list if they don't formally exist yet.

If this is a list you compiled yourself from the data then it could be an error on Nexon's part considering the line on the scroll, or the line on the scroll could be an error.

Shortly after I posted my first reply I went back to the Vegas and was able to put a Wand 60 next to a pair of shoes. Only after I hit the scroll button did a pop up come up telling me I couldn't scroll it. Whereas with the shoe scroll I wasn't able to place it into the Vegas to begin with.
So I don't need the proper equips in order to place a scroll in there, so testing on a glove is not needed.

If Vegas is unable to be used with shoe scrolls the line on the scroll should not be on there.
If Vegas is able to be used with shoe scrolls then this should work.

Either way something is wrong here.

Therefore, this is a string-bug. It is not supposed to work with Vega, as it is written, and it is not supposed to be used on gloves.

(Just had to state it, to clear confuzhion)
