To elaborate more on this. I was pondering the other day, and wondered if the typical person does this:
a) Sees hot man/chick
b) Thinks that man/chick is hot
c) Assumes that person might be a potential candidate for a future husband/wife
Because growing up, I realize, instinctively, people tends to look at another person and automatically criticize him or her because of their appearance. Do you tend to look at someones appearance first and assume that you might get along with that person? Or do you just not give a damn, and look towards their personality / attitude first?
When I was younger, growing up, and I have no shame about admitting this, I used to look at a person and say "Psh, I 'd never hang out with that f'ggot over there.", or etc. When I matured, I realize regardless of how people dressed, in the end, it's how they act and how they stick to their words that determines their friendship with you. I know some people that broke up with their ex, because their ex wasn't 'good looking' to them in comparison to other chicks or dudes, and ended up going with a hotter person. In my opinion, though that IS human-nature, that's the wrong way to do things. Because even if they look better, it doesn't help if that person is an pimento, a peach, a lazy slob, etc.
I'm sure not everyone here is going to agree, and I'm also sure that some people here has never ever judged a person by appearance, not even once. I wouldn't be surprised at all. But I just wanted to see what people here thinks about this.
PS: If it helps, my bestfriends over here are 'all white', I technically don't talk to the majority of the Asian kids here since I don't really get along with them. I have some other friends of different ethnic groups as well, but there aren't too many Asian kids over here.
I posted this in the Rubik's Cube because I wanted intelligent responses and not spam. I've seen some random posts in Social before, and it ends up getting side-tracked...
