I didn't really like the idea of Karate kid, in china and with jackie chan instead of Pat Morita, but now it doesn't look so bad.

For a remake, this one looks particularly interesting. The roles get switched in a particularly nice way, and... well, who am I kidding, I'm going to watch it just for the fly part.

Huh. It's a remake, but it doesn't try to blatantly rip off its predecessor. Yeah, the basic plot is the same, weak kid in a new place, unorthodox unexpected teacher and training, ultimately ends up a badass. But it changes location, characters, methods, etc. It takes the same basic plot but changes the subtle things enough that it doesn't feel like a rehashing.

I'll go see it.
