Body Pressure
#21
I find Combo Drain to be cooler than Body Pressure. I haven't used an HP pot in 13 levels <3

 Spoiler
Also, body pressure has it's x% chance to "stun" (or whatever we want to start calling it) the monster whenever you do damage to it, not when you're standing on it.

So when the character has body pressure [on]:
- First contact with a monster both get damages (also the character), monster gets sealed.
- Second contact with the sealed monster noone gets damage, since physical damage is sealed (max lvl body pressure = 24 sec seal duration).

The problem with this is that you constantly keep hitting other monsters while training, so you still get damaged all the time from their first touch damage hits (from each time touching another monster). I would say it only helps you marginal on pots... and I guess the sealing effect also doesn't work on bosses... :o

It WOULD be helpfull in Neo Tokyo / Time Temple though, where you fight normal monsters with more hp. Smile

P.S. How much is the damage reflect damage? Max level says 100%, is that like, 1000 damage taken, 1000 damage reflected?

It doesn't reflect damage, it just does damage (100% of your range, just like any other % based attack) independently of the monster you hitting you.

I believe the touch isn't what's triggering the seal effect, or at least not necessarily the only thing.

Wait, you mean single/double/triple each have 40% chance to "stun"?

Well that would explain how people train at WS without using pots...

Yeah it seems so. I'm definitely not coming in contact with every single monster at MP3, yet most of them seem to have the icon. My deduction is that you have that 40% chance to "stun" every time you do damage. Since the skill also comes with a body attack, you have a chance to stun with that too.

92% chance of "stun" by the end of a single-double-triple in 3rd job (2-hit double/triple - is that called Full Swing?) is pretty good...

It's called Full Swing when it's 1/2/1 in 3rd job, and Overswing when it's 1/2/2 in 4th job. But yeah, I never take touch damage at Stormraiders unless I'm climbing a rope. It's pretty great. By the way, the body attack from Body Pressure doesn't work if you're on a rope.

Yup just like with buccaneers. Energy charge's body damage doesn't work when climbing robes.

Wait, wait, wait, so you're saying, with body pressure [ON] you never get touch damage, not even the first hit?!?!

WOW... MUST... MAX... THIS... SKILL... Glitter

He means he can cause the status effect by using Fullswing, so by the time the monster can get close enough to touch him, it can't.

No, that's not what I'm saying. Rei got it right.

I think the skill description doesn't match the strings or something...
at lvl 9 it says 40% chance but it shouldn't be so much right?
Also, I'm walking through ant tunnel right now with lvl 9 body pressure, and sometimes I touch like 700 damage to a zombie mushroom and it doesn't die, so the damage is messed up somehow...

I don't think it's gonna be a problem to max this skill as final charge isn't all that great.

So far I only have 1 point in body pressure (I find 19 Mastery more important, and I'm also getting 5 Drain ASAP and then I'll save points for Combo Smash. Aran has so much usefull skills) but so far it's awesome, although the 40 mp per cast and the 25 second timer keep me from using it most of the time. The succes rate in the description seems about right, too.

Something I find weird about Body Pressure is that it's "main effect"(not taking touch damage) cancels the other effect(dealing touch damage yourself). Although it doesn't really matter.

as long as u dmg the monster in some way...u became invincible for like 5 sec

i'm pretty sure this doesn't work on bosses
