Arans versus Bigfoot
#1
One thing I really want to try is Bigfooting on an Aran. And right now, I think it'll be possible.

Theorized Method (With Freeze Standing/Stance):
  • Aggro it to the left or the right side
  • Pin it with Whirlwind (not Final Charge)
  • Spam Overswing (DO NOT USE FINAL BLOW AS THE LAG AFTERWARDS MAY MAKE BIGFOOT UNPIN)
  • If he unpins jump back and Whirlwind again.
  • For buffing, use Pole Arm Booster and Freeze Standing, Combo Barrier if you have the skill. (Smart Knockback, Snow Charge, and Combo Drain won't play a part here. Smart Knockback and Snow Charge don't work on BF and Combo Drain won't be needed because you shouldn't be getting hit (because you're toast if you do.)

I think it works in theory ONLY if Whirlwind can pin BF, which I think it can.

What's the point of Freeze Standing if you shouldn't be getting hit?

Because the alternative would be the slidehit method, which would slow you down to using double swing at best. With the Freeze Standing (Stance method) you could use triple swing and not be worried about his magic damage knocking you back.

Isn't overswing like barrage where you take a little step forward after doing it on a mobile monster? And wouldn't that make you touch bf and die if you don't have the HP? o,o
Also, why not final take instead of whirlwind?

Whirlwind is stronger.

Wrong reason.

Apparently you don't need to do triple beforehand to do whirlwind.

I did some calcs witha friend yesterday, and I forgot exactly what it said, but he'd have to do like 150~160 washes to BF at level 150 without HB (Roughly 12k/13k hp)

Unless you wanna put points into high defense (The EZ shield, or whatever it's called for gms/msea isn't 100% reliable due to 200 combo needed to activate), gonna have to wash a ton.

And do people even know if aran can BF? I haven't read anywhere about actual situations where people fought BF. For all we know, their attacks could skip like TT or hurricane, then BF runs over them.

Anyone know if they can actually pin it like other warriors?

Bigfoot doesn't exist in KMS. So no idea. Any rushing attack should be able to pin any boss, but there's no way to tell if they can hold it there.

Yeah, I know that Arans need to wash before they attempt BF. I'm just wondering if it's possible (I will be washing.)

I said Whirlwind over Final Charge for two reasons: one, you don't need to use triple swing before you use Whirlwind (It's just up + up + attack) and Final Charge brings you closer to the enemy while Whirlwind pushes them away.

But the problem is, if you max Whirlwind, you don't have enough SP for other neccasary skills.

Er, i'll stick with final take.

% chance to move the enemy do not want.

Biggest downside to washing for BF is if you don't use HB, you gotta do 150~160 washes to BF at 150~

My pirate did roughly 100 more or less, and has like 6.9k with MoN and some random hp here and there. From the other ranged characters, 6.9k is pretty high if you compare.

Just alone the cost is going to be a lot. If we get another 20:20 sale, that's 150k~ nx, or roughly 1.5bil in mesos if you convert in bellocan.

<3 my hb mule

Edit: So i'd recommend some high defense if you plan to BF to reduce wash costs, or get an HBer

At max Whirlwind has a 95% Chance of KB.

But it is still a useless skill in perspective. If you max it, where are you going to take the points out of? All of the other skills do REAL damage.
