Good place to host pictures?
#1
Hi guys, I am a complete noob when it comes to posting pictures. Last time I tried to post a screen shot here it was really small and unreadable. Anyone have any good suggestions on what to use?

Photobucket, or if you prefer not to sign up, TinyPic.

Also, ImageShack and Imgur.

Imageshack can be slow, but pictures stay up there for a while. Plus, you don't need to sign up.

Photobucket is very fast, and has other features. However, sometimes your pictures don't show if you use up a lot of bandwidth per month, and you have to make an account.

I never used the other two.

Imgur likes to rape the quality of your images, which I only found out after using it for a while when I saw JPG artifacts all over an image that was completely clean. So, while Imgur is faster than imageshack, it can mess with your image. Not good for when you want to post something with nice quality.

Imageshack is slow as hell, and sometimes messed up when uploading your stuff.

Tinypic is good as long as your image isn't too big. I forgot what their cutoff on image size is before they shrink it, but it's worth a shot.

Does anyone here actually use Flickr? After all, it IS the biggest image hosting site. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/flickr.com
