Maker SKill Question

Hi there,

I was wondering, when trying to make an advanced wisdom crystal (+5INT) i read in IsaacGS's guide that you can appraise and make a +5INT from a ordinary wisdom crystal (one with no stats). Is that true? Because when looking at the maker skill, in order to make an advanced wisdom crystal I need 10 intermediate wisdom crystals (+3INT). But Isaac's guide said there was a 5% chance of making one from a ordinary wisdom crystal. Which way is right?

If you try putting Basic Wisdom Crystal in Maker, you have a 1% chance to "accidentally" get an Advanced Wisdom Crystal.

Edit: Oops. For Crystals, it's actually 1% chance to get an Advanced. 5% for other gems.

Both ways work for getting the Advanced Crystal. As you can see though, there is only a slight chance for going refining a crystal from the raw to advance, so typically you would create 10 Intermediates and then use them to create an Advanced, but the point being that you can get to Advanced in two ways (Depending on your luck).
