Please no Naruto spoilers in this thread. Don't give me info beyond the start of filler.

Uh... this is a bit embarrassing.

I was into Naruto back in 2006. Then they did the filler $hit. I liked one of those episodes, but I couldn't take it seriously, and by the time the series continued, I just lost interest.

How far along is the ANIME series? Did they have a series finale? Has one been announced? Has the series declined since before the filler, or is it good? I watched it on YouTube with English subtitles, so if I watched it again, that would be how.

I generally hate Japanese animation because a lot of it is hard to follow, (good creative writing is NOT hard to follow, take it from somebody that does it a lot,) and a lot of shiitty anime possesses pointless, gratuitous violence that is disturbing to the point of being sick. These things have never been a problem with this series, so I was thinking return to it.

You could do a lot better than Naruto, even with your parameters. That being said, I stopped about at the same point as you. I know it sorta spawned into a newish/same show Naruto: Shippuuden, but that's about all I can help with. It's one of those shows that virtually doesn't end.

Idk... the manga just got a HUGE plot change.. but the "ultimate evil plot" got reveled (Tobe wants to strip everyone of free will by using some super Sharigan.. i won't revel the full plot)

Anime wise we just got to the part when Jiriya dies at the hands of Pain and we're about to start Sasuke VS Itachi "final" battle

I actually lol'd. Okay, Mr. Expert. Was it really necessary to include this in this type of thread? If you wanna get back into Naruto (which is ironic, because that is poor writing at its best), leave it at that. Because you don't understand something, it's poorly written? Seriously? Haha, oh wow. That has to be one of the dumbest statements I've ever read. A real writer would be able to appreciate other people's creative work or at least try to understand it, if they don't immediately. I can guarantee I've seen far more anime than you, and I haven't come across one that wasn't understandable. What are you even basing this on besides biased dislike of anime?

Sorry for the rant, really. But...wow. Your "take it from somebody that does it a lot" line really got me.

Naruto rejects Sakura so Naruto & Hinata seems eminent...

all the tailed beast have been reveled and caputered and only 8 tails and 9 tails are out of the hands of the Akutsuki...

when they are all captured the tailed beast will make a 10 tailed beast which tobe plans on using to project the super Sharigan onto the moon and hypnotize the world to acquire world peace(kinda like with the "plot" in Assassin Creed)

Sasuke defeats Itachi and it is revealed that Itachi was a spy for the Konoha elders and was ordered to kill the Uchiha Clan and because of this Sasuke joins the Akutsuki

Naruto Get revenge on Pain for killing Jiriya but instead of killing him, Naruto converts Pain to the "good" side so he'll probably arrive later in the series

Manga is relatively far, the manga isn't as sh'tty because I read it at my own pace, and I read rather fast... The anime takes too long, and I hate fillers. <__< Near the end of the anime though, imo. Based on how things are going.

I know a solution! Don't watch it? If you believe you're writing is holier-than-thou than the plots and character bios of some anime, then go write instead of asking us what happened to Naruto. If you can't understand some anime, then YOU are the problem. All you have to do is sit down and watch it, and not judge it the whole way through which seems like something that you would do.

Naruto is probably the most cliche shonen anime and unfortunately the most popular among America. I don't have a problem with it, I like some of the characters, but to my point... I find it hard to believe that your writing capabilities are superior if you can't follow a 22 minute animation that most of the time is 2X episodes long and has pretty straight forward stories.

To those butthurt that I don't like anime: Stephen King totally trashed Stephenie Meyer just recently. Getting a little more extreme, Mark Twain publicly called France a nation of whores. Stuff like this happens. It's COMMON in every industry for some practitioners to dislike others, I like how you assume that me not liking shoddy foreign comic books means I can't write, (I haven't once posted my published articles or portions of my manuscript here, so yeah, you have a lot of ways to know. ) Grow the fuuck up. Unless you seriously think that Akira is in any way on par with something like War and Peace, but at this point looking at you I wouldn't be surprised.

There opinions on others famous work matter far more than your opinions on anime matter. Yeah, so all the positive feedback I got from everyone from fellow students to professors to newspaper staff to those running the newspapers... that's just fibs. They're all lying. All those people who actually test-read my manuscript and gave me +/- (but complete) feedback, they're all liars.

However, a mediocre and unremarkable teen on the INTERNET that's never read any of my work, and who feels like some ad hominems because he can't keep his nose out of my business... he's gotta be telling the truth.
