Im not sure if the win741.com 30 bucks for 7 is for pro a-@.

The only recommendation you need is to get Pro.
Which has already been established. How are you getting it for 30 bucks? The uni./college deal?

you don't need pro...
home premium has everything you're likely to ever use that said, if it's the same price, might as well, but you're NEVER going to use the few features it adds

I'm getting a W7 laptop for Christmas.. pretty excited.
I'd prefer Home Premium, if only because I don't need more. >_>
