My transition from Arad to DFO has been nothing, but odd.

Avatars are cheapskie, everyone wants avatars for looks not the stats, NO ONE PLAYS AN ELEMENTALIST?(Their pretty unique in DFO, but in Arad Senki you see them pretty advidly), Korean's are practically badass at this game ( I play in a guild of Koreans with my friend Danny, sadly all they want is the new cap and all the new dungeons lol), and Mechs are frowned apon because of their ava gear.

What is with Americans and their DFO? Other than that easy enough of a transition. So... Who plays this silly game?

Anyway, I've always worn avatars for stats, never for looks - even if I look like a colorblind guy I don't care. As long as the numbers look good, I'll play looking like whatever.

It's obvious. DFO players are simply a different demographic; people here care more about looks than sheer power, and they see playing a puny loli mage for power as demeaning. In other words people tend to play classes closer to how they see themselves as, only branching out when bored or they are curious about other classes. Because of that, you're less likely to see mages (or Eles in this case) because few people want to play a little girl. That's kind of why you see tons of Slayers and Gunners, not because they are strong but because they are cool.

As for me when it comes to avatars, I am a mix of looks and stats. I tend to pick what looks nice, but will only buy it if it has the stat I need.

I mean, yea it makes sense, but Elementalist and Summoners are friggen' amazing. It blows my mind how they can ignore something that will be overpowering in the longrun.

Problem with Summoners is people don't like how bad most of them are. Heard stories many just AFK or have their summons run around wildly instead of using Train and Mark the Target. That and some have problems seeing the screen when it gets clogged up with maximum summons.

Mages in general are a little problematic because of their squishiness, and Eles and Summoners are bad for PvP (too many srs PvP players in DFO).

However, it makes it all the more amusing when you faceroll them and see their whining. Most srs PvP players are just bratty players who get severely butthurt over losing.

I main an elementalist myself. I probably see less battle mages than anything else though. lol

Eles are actually absurdly good in PvP - they just aren't abused as much as they could be. They have 3 highly spammable projectiles that do high damage with low c/d, 2 defensive moves that are fast and provide significant knockback (one also can slowdown enemies), have decent defense from Mana Shield, can combo as well as any melee class (max upper -> Fire Pillar -> Frosty -> Pluto, etc), and have the most potential cspd of any character. They can charge attacks while moving and have a floating orb of hitstun to hide from melee classes in.
