Permanent Kino isn't permanent
#1
Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:
I gifted a permanent Kino pet to a friend's account. When he recieved it and tried to equip Kino he was prompted with the message that Kino's "water of life has dried up."

Sure it is, you just have to use a Life Water on it first. Goggleemoticon

Wouldn't it only last 3 months afterwards? :f6:

I don't have NX on my outlaw's account. I use my ex-main account to store my finds and NX, and just gift everything. Glad I got to this topic before gifting myself a Kino. Since it's an NX related problem, I'm sure Nexon will fix and compensate for this if we log tickets.

I get this feeling they'll glitch up the already-permanent kinos (not gifted) if they try to fix the glitched ones :l

Yeah I'm hoping they will fix it soon. They probably will since it is an NX-related problem. Has anyone else had the same problem as me?

Yup. You can expect it to be fixed soon, since it's a widespread problem.

I think I know why this bug happens.

In Commodity.img (cash shop data), the expiration time of the item is specified (e.g. regular items have Period = 90 because they last 90 days). Period 0 marks a permanent item.

Now, my theory is like this: Nexon remembered to tell the server that Period 0 == Permanent on regular equips. However, since pets work a bit differently they are probably on a different routine that Nexon forgot to change. This causes the server to give the item with 0 days left, meaning it expired.
