I can't Bamboo Rain?

I was in a partied MLPQ because I wanted to try it out, and we got to Pap. Typically, the bad news was we were out of MP (for the Night Lord and 3 Bishops). The worse news was for some reason neither me nor the Night Lord could perform Bamboo Rain.

I tried pressing Up, then CTRL, then ALT, tried pressing them all at once, and eventually just started mashing Up, CTRL, and ALT as frantically as possible. Nothing. I am not sure if I'm doing it wrong somehow (despite clear instructions), or whatnot. The noticed the same thing when soloing when I attempted to Bamboo Rain Leviathan a few times.

Then I do not know haha, maybe settings with your keys will do the trick.

i can use bamboo rain in windowed mode, just had to smash my keys a couple of times xD

I use it successfully by pressing UP first and then Alt+Ctrl at the same time while holding UP. I noticed that it was really difficult when that backwards status thingy was on during Leviathan, and I had to switch back and forth between UP and DOWN arrow keys (sometimes pressing both at the same time I think) before Bamboo Rain would kick in. Other than that, what I said earlier works for me every time.

Does it work if you have a potion/skill key on Ctrl or Alt?

i have, werkz fine in msea on any monster.

It doesn't work when you are sealed, and you should hold the up key first and then press CTRL and alt at the same time. Also make sure the meter is flashing when you want to use it.

Few tips:

1) As many have spoken, hold the "up" first, then press ctrl and alt together while holding "up".

2) If you have skill/pot or w/e on ctrl and/or alt, use some skill first, and during the animation, press the combo.

3) Stay afar from the boss, it hits the whole map(not just the whole screen), so if you fail you won't get killed as quick.

I have a macro'ed Barrage on my Ctrl key.

So I screwed over my party because of this?

I'll try that out later today (during Barrage I press the combo). This may have been the problem.
