Hackshield / Running Maple

I guess there was a hackshield update last night but I can't download it (it shows two points of progress and then fails) and even just when I run maple initially, the entire page doesn't load. Like the notices, current events, new gach items and start button. Only the start doesn't get a page load error.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Should I reinstall hackshield as per the instructions here? I've never had an issue with running maple before so this is all new to me.

You should probably do what Nexon recommends anyways. You don't lose anything but time doing it, no?

Well there are like 6 other threads now talking about this error so it's not just me. I'll wait it out. I was just gonna idle anyway.

I never said it was just you. I'm seeing those threads as well. Frankly I don't even know if I can hop onto MS okay at this hour.

EDIT: Based on the times these threads were posted, I think it's happened rather recently instead of over night.

i think i know what your talking about . i seem to be running into a similar effects. Yet , what i find odd was i was able to get onto MS around 10am-12pm est and now that i came back its showing the error and showing the start up screen blank ... is it only effecting vista's or is it both vista and xp ? i ask this cause i notice my vista hates maple and i had to use the setup installer like 3 times so i can have everything fully installed( some reason i wouldn't get the exe to run maple ) .

after some quick viewing of basil , i found that there is a fix for it on nexons , maple story web site

I don't think this will help to correct the current issue. I've been able to restart MS plenty of times since the update. Waiting for someone else to confirm, I'm too lazy.

I got the error today and tried this, it works.

I started maple like 2 hrs ago and was ok but my friend just tried to start it and she couldnt she told me to check and restart maple, I did and now im getting that same hackshield error

i was able to log in fine the first time but when i restarted my MS client Hackshield wouldent update properly i went to the site as well and it works

I had this problem, then I killed the HSUpdate and Maplestory.exe processes, waited a while, and tried again maybe an hour ago, and it worked. :f6:

Guess I should still redo my Hackshield update folder to keep it from coming back?
