The point of KoC??
#21
Hmm if you put it like that maybe I will make one. My goal has always been to get to level 200 and "complete" the game. That said I hate grinding and am lucky to log on for more than an hour or two a week. So that goal at that rate will take quite a long time.

It would be nice to have a character to complement my bishop. Shame Id have to make it on the same account though because it would be fun to be able to leech it to 120. So making a cygnus warrior, I would be able to solo bosses earlier on it, compared to a normal warrior?

Any idea on how the level of your main effects your cygnus? If its low maybe I could put it on an account with a level 60main instead of my 155.

Yes, a level 120 Cygnus has the same amount of AP as a level 134 adventurer. Also, some things to consider would be that a level 30 cygnus is as strong a a level 34-35 adventurer, or a level 70 cygnus has the same AP distribution as a level 81-85 adventurer (I'm too take into account equips and instance where you get 10 or 12 AP, like the 3rd Job advancement, but that's the gist of it).

Also, your level 15x main would give 15 w.att and 30 m.att to your cygnus, while your 6x would only give 6 w.att and 12 m.att.

It's worth noting that kMS uses a slightly different system for Cygnus and Blessing. In Korea, the highest leveled character in that account and server determines the level of Blessing for ALL the characters on that account and server, except for itself. The second highest level determines the level of the highest.
I'd assume gMS, SEA, jMS, etc. would get this system at some point, so it might be easier just to get any character to a high level for the Blessing Boost and wait.

Although, as a Bishop, how useful is 24 (120 Cygnus) mAtk? 12 wAtk is a great deal, but the formula differences give Mages the short end of the stick when it comes to Blessing.

The point for me is to try out classes I haven't played for fun. Its pluses are:
  • Less work required: Not having to lvl too high to enjoy the class's potential (good skills are available at much later levels for Adventurers).
  • Special features: more APs, free useful buff, no mastery books needed, mounts that hopefully don't make you cough up 50m, potential to be Echo mule..
  • Exclusive contents: New skills/quests/cards.

And if you need to present your distaste for the hype regarding this update for whatever reasons, please direct it where more suitable.
 Spoiler
I do not see why you would complain here at SP where there has been little/none of such shallow exaggeration.
Perhaps this derived merely from misunderstandings or misintepretation on my part, if that were the case, I apologize. Otherwise, please heed my advice, unnecessary conflict is.. well, unnecessary.

Hope I helped with the 'points', or at least one 'point', of Cygnus.
