Some quick EFPQ-related questions

I have a few questions that are EFPQ-related:

1) At the end of the EFPQ, where there's a fountain, what's the entire purpose of dropping the Gollem's Marble onto it? :f6:

2) Exactly how much EXP (total) does the Gollem boss give?

1)It's to make the black rain turn yellow, which in turn enhances your HP/MP regeneration I believe while it's in effect.

2)Poison Golem 3 gives out 17,980 xp of which you divide between your party.

Just for the record, the rain turns yelllow everywhere in the channel, and it lasts for a decent amount of time.

How many of Altaire fragments do you need to get the Glittering Crystal Earrings? And yes, I know you also have to have an A Rank in the PQ.
